Not sure if anyone else has had this problem or not but my CB-6000s cage is starting to split at the top. It began at the very top where the center pin goes through. It looks like what is happening is that as I start to get an erection the hasp of the lock is being pulled back hard against the cage and it is starting to wedge the cage apart. Tom
OK, here's what you don't want: A split that will open and then shut on your skin. That's bad. Lots of people here have used Superglue to glue two halves back together and to reconstruct their devices but, while it dries, you need to be out of the cage and it must be disassembled to glue it. In my case that would mean about an hour in spread eagle bondage while She gets handy with superglue. Then teases me and then locks me back up (ah, those were the days!). One thing that is really cool about the Mature Metal devices is that they don't split or break (leastwise from an erection). Of course, they're never Airport-safe, either.
The CB6000 is a terrible device. Due to the seam being on top of the device it splists easily. And I have read stories of guys bruising their cocks because of this design flaw.
I would love to have a metal device but I have to pass through a metal detector everyday for work. I have been considering going to the CB-3000 tube since they have converted to the new ring set-up. Does anyone know if I can use the rings from the 6000 series? What is the difference in comfort level between the 3000 and 6000s cages? I think I would appreciate the slightly longer length of the 3000 if everything else is equal. Tom
We were lucky and never had problems with our CB6000. The manufacturers are pretty good about returning split ones. bart - the CB3000 came BEFORE the CB6000.
Hub has had to glue his twice now but it isn't a real drama - I do alternate him between metal and plastic anyway. The device does get a lot of stick but it is obviously a design flaw to create an object that gets put under so much pressure by fusing two separate halves. I can't imagine why it isnt a single piece of plastic.
