    I ask this question of you Mr. Her Dividend: If the pro freedom crowd (which you are calling anti vaxxers) is "conspirational", what is it, precisely, we are conspiring to achieve?

    Are the pro freedom people telling you that you cannot get the shots?

    We are not talking about two sides of the same coin. The vax crowd is demanding the whole world take an experimental medical procedure. The freedom crowd just says leave us alone.

    So, what are we "anti vaxxers" conspiring towards in your mind?

    A person can be anti-vax without any relationship to any conspiracy theories, so that tired agenda needs to be dropped.

    Here's what the science says (US only) - all easily verifiable facts:
    • Survival rate: 98.4%
    • Death rate in 2021 higher than 2020 with increased vaccinations
    • Pfizer effectiveness in clinical trials - 95%
    • Moderna effectiveness in clinical trials - 94.1%
    • J&J effectiveness in clinical trials - 66.3% ( a coin toss)
    Basically the survival rate is higher than the effectiveness of the vaccines so what's the rush to take it.

    Besides, even in 100% of the population gets vaccinated, the virus doesn't just poof out of existence. It's here to stay in one form or another

    Another example is "conspiracy theorist"

    Objecting to government tyranny is not a "conspiracy". Responding to proven lies....is not a conspiracy.

    THIS is a conspiracy theory. Now it may or may not be true. I pay little attention to these things. Is this really how you think we "anti vaxxers" sound?

    First they said we have to wait until there is a vaccine.

    Then they said just wait until the elderly and vulnerable are vaccinated, then normality can resume.

    Then they said everyone over 60 has to be vaccinated.

    Then they said everyone over 50 has to be vaccinated.

    Then they said everyone over 40 has to be vaccinated.

    Then they said everyone over 30 has to be vaccinated.

    Then they said everyone over 20 has to be vaccinated.

    Then they said everyone over 16 has to be vaccinated. .

    Then they said children over 12 need to be vaccinated.

    Then they said 3rd and 4th booster shots are needed.

    It will soon be all children over 5 have to be vaccinated.

    If 100% of people were vaccinated this would still not end, they will just keep moving the goal posts.

    You are commenting on the eligibility categories for vaccination.

    We had a second wave pandemic in the US because anti-vaxxers got infected with the Delta Variant - helping then spread it - and in the process pushing hospital systems to 90% + ICU capacity.

    This all could have been avoided by getting the shot.

    The downside risk of getting shot v. getting COVID without a vaccination cannot be seriously debated.

    People think this only because they believe that if everyone were vaccinated the virus would "disappear".

    It won't. That's pure fantasy. In fact, literally no one has ever even said that, but for some reason, that's the kool-aide that's being perpetuated by the idiots in charge. But they are thrilled that they now have a weapon with which to make life altering decisions about the population: who gets to work, who gets to eat out, who gets hospital care, etc. That is why they have slow-rolled the vaccination mandates like L-u-c-y said above.

    They sure don't seem to care about vaccinating illegal immigrants though. So...

    Get the shot if you want, I don't care what anyone else does, but get off the mandate bandwagon before they start mandating something you care about, then you'll cry a different tune.

    O, I'm on the mandate bandwagon.

    Health insurers should be able to factor into premium costs whether a person's vaccinated or not.

    Employers should also mandate vaccination for their employees.

    There's no rational reason to be un-vaccinated. N-O-N-E.

    Well, for one, the current vice president of the USA is one of those. She declared explicitly that she would not take ANY vaccine that Trump developed. Once her and "Let's go Brandon" were in office, she did change her tune.

    @Her Dividend must just be trolling folks. "None" is the reason to avoid the vaccination? He is either trolling or incredibly stupid. The manufacturers themselves tell you not to take the jab if you are allergic to any of its ingredients.

    If people on your side of this debate cared about treating others with "love and civic responsibility" then you would be attempting to understand the position of those you disagree with and work with them towards a solution rather than label them with terms like "idiots, anti-vaxxers, and conspiracy nuts" so you can sick a mob on them and ruin their lives. This was an interesting post from a verified conspiracy theorist himself who says some wild stuff but as the saying goes, a broken clock is right twice a day. He does do some interesting reporting..

    Health insurers also factor in you blood pressure, body mass index, and if you have cancer. Should you be denied healthcare because you have cancer? There are many uninsured people who cant keep their health insurance plans due to having serious illnesses which drive up the cost of their premiums. Seems like a bad precedent to be supporting.
