Tiff's paddles really need a good breaking in, so I think option #1 is the way to go.

I'm going to Texas to spend Halloween! I'll still be with you in time, don't panic.

The flights I'm looking at are around the £300-£400 mark, but I want to know if there's anything cheaper out there.

I'm not fussy who I fly with, I've not had problems on any of the trans-atlantic operators.

 

I think he told me the cheapest he could find for his flight was $650-$675 round trip.

I'm flying from Brum to Chicago with a change in the netherlands. I might fly lost cost (BMI or something to the netherlands then Fly out to Chicano like that.

Doing a no fuss option (letting one company do all the work for me) I'm finding flights for around the £370 mark (Around $540 mark), Flying lo-cost to AMS then outwards will prob be cheaper but got the hassle of changing airports in amsterdam... FAR TOO MUCH TEMPTATION (infact being in the netherlands is too much temptation)

Try fly.com and direct on the airlines websites. I could train down to london and fly from there but it seems cheaper to fly from brum to AMS then fly from there to the states and the total journery time (from my door to Mistresses Door) seems pretty much the same.

oh yeah, and flying in the week seems cheaper then flying in the weekend.

I've gotta put some more cash into my flight fund before buying the tickets, but once its done I'll be booking but flights to amsterdam are cheap, its the long haul part thats the killer

 

That sounds about what I'm paying for LGW - DFW - CLT - LGW.

I might be adding Vegas to that which will bump the cost!

you might just be having second thoughts kneeling in the on-deck circle this November when Mistress Rob comes to bat swinging a 'tiff special'. She's been known to hit a home run on occassion . . . and then there's the rest of the Fall Gathering lineup of Mistresses to contend with . . . it could be a very l o n g inning for you.

 

i do want to recommend something: Get insurance! And make sure the insurance covers being forced to stay here longer. Living in NYC, i have seen a number of people from Europe in pretty anxious condition due to that Icelandic volcano. Those who had insurance were really relaxed and happy. Those who didn't often were pretty freaked out.

It really looks like this fall is going to be impossible for me to go anywhere, though things may change. We are covering the primary elections in the US as if though it were a major election year and, of course, we're lying to the public that there is this really nasty anti-incumbent mood out there. There is a mood, but incumbents are being re-elected in all but one race (three, if you count party-switchers) -- and that is nationwide.

So this fall, i will probably be very busy lying to the American Public. Ah, the things we do for money.

This may change, and if it does, i shall advise.
