Just got home. Quite entertaining, but a typical sequel... no point to it other than to make money! Clothes were fab, locations were fabber! And pet cried. That was probably the highlight for me. I should have made him wear girl panties.
I cried at teh end too-but only because I can't believe I spent 20 odd on taking my Wife to this steaming pile of shit! Don't get me wrong, I'm not anti S&TC at all and I actually really enjoyed the 1st film, but I thought this one relied far too much on cheap laughs and was almost slapstick in places. The first one was classy and funny, this was neither IMO. The 1st film I would watch again (we have it on Blu Ray), the 2nd I wouldn't even waste the bandwidth downloading a Blu Ray rip.
LOL - only a true man would cry because I *forced* him to see it, or because of the cost. pet cried because Miranda made it to school on time! He took me as a surprise treat. Given that I cried from start to finish (no, not exaggerating!) at SATC1 I think that was fairly brave. On the plus side, it was a good night out away from the kids, it was a romantic gesture and all that. On the downside... rude groups of girls that think because it's a girls night out that they can TALK through the movie... :Whip: And lack of substance to the film.
In can not wait to go see it! Kris is being left at home to do cleaning duties I think. I'm dreading it tho, one of my friends saw it yesterday and said it was full of girls all dressed up like the charaters and stuff. GRRRR!! not into that, If I hear any of em speaking over Carrie they will be dashed with my Pepsi haha!
i love SATC please don't tell me this movie is not good. Yes i cried at the first one and during many of the tv shows SO WHAT i am a sissy ya know. MM's sweetpea rachel
Do remember Rachael, "opinions are like arseholes-everybody has them, and most of them stink!" It was only my opinion and maybe I was expecting too much, but I just didn't think it was a patch on the 1st movie. Too many double entendres and too much reliance on sex gags (and not in a classy way like the first film). As I said, even as a guy I really enjoyed the first film (and the series), but this I thought was a poor attempt at a sequel. It had it's moments, but seemed to switch between S&TC1 mode (classy, funny and touching) and S&TC2 mode (cheap sex laughs) too often for my liking.
I don't think Rachel's comment was directed at anyone. The way I read it was a usual Rachel-style "this is me" comment. :cat:
No offense meant and non taken. Funny how money can sometimes effect quality. A lot of my male friends used to watch it when it first came on over here on HBO. They thought it was funny and were always looking for that boob or bare ass shot. When it got to be more about life and feelings they all said they couldn't stand it any more but me i could relate to it somehow.
I haven't seen satc2 yet but i am sure i will cry ... Nevertheless i am looking forward to see it soon ... pretty clothes in abundance and a good excuse for my own shopping addiction - LOL. I always can say that i haven't as half as many clothes in my wardrobe as the girls obviously have and i can go out for another shopping trip with out remorse ... *giggle* maid katrin
I have yet to see it yet, but I am this week! YAY! from the trailer the outfits are amazing! Even I wouldn't mind a J'adore Dior Tshirt like Ms Bradshaw
