Help with Chastity

A chastity device is not something that I would like to share with someone else, (for ovious reasons).
You can look in the marketplace for a 2nd hand device that you can buy and if you dont like it, resell it.
I hope you come right.

I have to agree. No one except me would be permitted to wear any of my devices due to the health factors involved. I have bought second hand as well as sold a couple devices, but wouldn't loan one out. The cleaning that needs to be done to effectively sterilize them is a hassle.

I'd recommend reading about what people like about the various devices, and keeping an eye on the For Sale section on here. You can generally pick up second hand devices for around 50-60% of original price, plus shipping.

 

OK it is a hassle but you should clean yours regularly. And here is how. Get yourself a pressure cooker fill with water and insert your device, following these instructions. This will sterilize anything.

Now i am not recommending everyone start trading out out chastity devices. In fact, I'm recommending thorough cleaning and one can get out one's pressure cooker and make things as clean as possible. And these are a lot less expensive than an autoclave. Of course, the autoclave does have a drying cycle.

With respect to the original poster:

you are obviously interested in chastity and it is encouraged that you try that. But you're just not going to get anyone to part with their device as they are either in use, too expensive to loan or just not something anyone is going to part with right now. Time to fork over the cash and try things out. But there are some really good threads here reviewing the CDs out there. And that should help you to decide.

 

Unfortunately I think everyone in chastity thinks the same way "I had to buy my way through an army of devices... why shouldn't you!"

even if i had an extra i do not think i would loan it out to some stranger maybe a close friend i may sell it to some stranger at a lower price but never loan it, its a health risk and really expensive item to get and if the stranger never returned it i would go on a hunt, so yea.. sorry and gl on your hunt

Kid, go and pay for a device. No one will lend you an expensive device that they have personally suffered in. The financial outlay, the frustration and dedication required to make it work is part of the chastity process. Consider it a labour of love.

I don't think anyone is being mean rbrboyftlauderdale, I just think they are really trying hard to impress on you how unlikely this is to happen.

People are very attached (pun intended) to their devices.

It's a very emotional thing as well as a money thing.

The trauma it takes to find the right device, the right fit....

Whilst I can see that you would say "then they should understand my plight" we've all been there, we've all spent hundreds of pounds/dollars.

No-one gave any of us a hand up.

My only suggestion really is to check out the For Sale/Exchange forum, or look on eBay.

Yes, I guess it can be hard for somebody who has not yet tried chastity to imagine how personally attached we get to our chastity devices.

For example I just developed a sore spot trying out a new security insert, and it feels horrible that I am forced to stay out of chastity for a few days until it heals.

And even though I have an extra device, there is no way I would part with it even for a minute. I want it available all the time as a fallback in case something happens to my current device.

I still hope that rbrboyftlauderdale will find somebody who is willing to lend him a device, but I think it is unlikely. His best bet at saving a few $$$ is probably to find somebody who purchased a good low-cost device like a cb3000 or cb6000 that did not fit, and is willing to sell it second-hand at a reduced price.

LOL!! rbrboyftlauderdale... Why don't you start a poll on here? It is very simple to do a poll when you make a new post. Ask the question, will you lend me a device and see what people vote? If you make the poll public, then the usernames of those that vote yes to lending a device will be visible to you and you could private message them and make the required arrangements? i believe there are in excess of 10,000 registered users on this site.

However, in none of your posts in this thread that i can see have you put up any measurements or said how you would ensure the device would be returned. Nor have you said if you would pay packing and posting or given any confidence to a potential loaner that they would get the device back by offering some sureity or deposit? i think jamielynn has had the best idea, pay a Pro Domme/Dom to lock you up but i'm betting that will cost pretty much the same as buying a device anyway. (Any Pro Dommes/Doms care to suggest a likely cost for that?)
