I just read a post by @Rodeo cowboy and thought I would share. Friday evening a few weeks back I stopped for groceries and was heading home. It was a busy type country 2 lane road with regular evening traffic. A large black Dodge pickup truck completely in my lane. I wasn't able to avoid it to my left as there was other traffic and the truck was to far to my right I would not have gotten out of the way before impact on the driver side. I survived a head on collision with a drunk driver who walked away from the accident.
Feeling very blessed to be here today to tell the tale. 20210503_112341_resized_2.jpg

Thank you for sharing. You are blessed to have survived.

It’s easy to view each of us here on CM as the small sliver of kink that we share and miss the whole of the individual.

I’ve enjoyed reading posts from you and BR. It’s a generous gift to allow us into your lives.

    Thank you

Wow! Incredible. Thanks to the BR's and Rodeo for sharing their experiences.

I suppose it is no coincidence that the two of you independently demonstrate why you (Rodeo and the Saiph's) are such good people. You've each faced REALLY horrible circumstances yet remain so positive and upbeat.

(I hope Rodeo sees this too)

Glad to see that you are okay.

It amazes me to see the wrecks people walk away from today, as compared to years back where they would have died on scene.

You have to love the engineering that goes into car design. Let the parts of the car that don't matter self destruct and consume the impact energy whilst keeping the occupants safe. I love me some science.

It does. Very grateful and appreciative of those I love these days. Things that once mattered are no longer an issue. Definitely a renewed perspective.

Yes. Most people don't seem to understand just how lucky they are to be alive in this time in history and how very little time they actually have on this Earth. It helps to visualize yourself after you die. Imagine if you could just look through your life from beginning to the end, would you think that many of the things you spent your precious resource of time on to be the best use of your limited resource?

Honestly, I don't have many regrets. There may be some things I would change but for the most part I made choices for a reason and likely would make those choices again.

You and BR seem to be living in a way that works well for you both. Social media is a good example of something that you can use to connect, learn, and have a positive impact on your life. It can also be the worst use of precious time that you can't get back if it is used in a toxic way.

I'm not sure they will. I am hopeful things will get better but some will always ignore the right thing. It's not even a case of having a drink or two. My guy must have completely passed out to have completely come into my lane, didn't break or swerve. How much do you have to drink by 6 pm to have done that.
