Labels are shorthand to quickly describe a person, a thing, etc. They are useful to classify and group. They save time but they lack nuance and specificity. My labels are slave, masochist, hedonist, kink curator, a knight, a brat, a gladiator, a prisoner a protector. But those labels barely define a portion of who I am and are subject to change without notice. Add to that, the endless debates of the definition of slave vs sub and similar labels with similar arguments resulting in labels being even less defining. How well do your labels work for you?
For everyday use by my wife: boy, slut - they're like terms of endearment really A bit more formal, my status: slave, slave husband Others: cumslut , whore, bondage bunny A label is always what the people involved want/like.
When we meet strangers or even acquaintances that have no idea of our kink, my wife will tell them I am her Knight in Shining Armour. When we are with our close set of friends, the 4 husbands have nicknames, I am Stallion, her best GF's husband is Helmet, couple 3 husband is Excalibur, and number 4 husband uses Joystick.
Don't really use labels in real life. On here, i may use some but only to avoid having to type excessively.
It does depend on who you are talking to and in what context. The more someone knows you, the less labels are needed. I want a zone of privacy from most people. Then there are the people in the “community” who you want to be able to give a quick description to: I am a nerdy white collar urban dwelling fallen Catholic kinkster, who gets stressed out a lot, and sometimes wants to follow orders, receive punishment or focus on sensuality to get my mind off things. I’m not only that, but that’s a lot of my life right now. My wife likes it when I call her Mistress, I think. She calls me shannon or a sissy.
I agree! My Madam is always called Madam, goddess, or my queen. Madam refers to me as slave, sub, subbie, cuck, piggie, bitch, ect. This is both in private and public settings, unless there are children about, then Madam is simply M, and I am cubbie.
I refer to my Wife as "She who must be Obeyed" from the old British series, Rumpold of the Bailey. All kidding aside, labels are used to describe something but most people do not fit into one category or another. We tend to blur across multiple categories/lines. In the end, we are just us. Undescribable and Unique. Iso.
