    Hello everyone,

I wear a Contender full-time and I'm starting a new job which will involve a decent amount of traveling. I'm intending to fly while caged, I've read enough from this site to feel comfortable doing it.

My concern is that I'd like to carry the spare key with me just in case I were to get injured and need to remove it (shaving cuts and hard belly flops have happened before). Yes, I could just carry the key, but I'm thinking of something that would make it obvious that I've used the key so that my fiancee knows I've been honest. I've seen plenty of tamper-proof box designs before that work for traditional keys, but I don't know that they'd work for our allen-style keys.

So how about it, MCN wearers? What would you recommend for a tamper-proof (or tamper-obvious) travelling case for a spare key?

Oxy-shop has an inexpensive, small clear plastic box that will hold the MCN Contender Allen wrench-type key. They also have numbered plastic seals, so your finance would be able to tell if you opened it. The box could also be locked with a small combination or key lock.

I wear a Contender and keep the keys in this box, sealed with the numbered seals. The box is roughly a 2 inch cube, so it obviously will not fit in your wallet for carrying, but wouldn't take much room in your luggage.

Another option would be to put in an envelope that is strong enough to not be easily punctured by the key. Then have your fiance sign her name or such over the flaps of the sealed envelope.

That would definitely do the trick! Thanks for the link!

    Hello,

This will solve all your problems:
    https://www.amazon.de/gp/aw/d/B07SZ786M9/
We are using the exact same modell.
If I am wearing the cage and want to make sure that I can free myself in case of an emergency, I can call @feather and she will tell me the code (if there is in fact an emergency reason).
We also have a procedure to relock:
It's possible change the combination to unlock the lock without looking at the numbers.
I then fire up our instant messenger (Signal) and send her a picture and delete the picture from the cat history without looking at the numbers.

If the key is flat, you can seal it in a credit card sized lamination pocket. Include something unique and dated (like a car park ticket) sandwiched with double sided sellotape if you need tamper proof evidence, otherwise just having it sealed may be enough to dissuade you from cheating.

No, I'm using a L-shaped allen key for the Contender that was made sometime around 2015. There's also a larger version of the Allen key for different security screws, but I've never seen what you have in the photos before. What is it?

Okay, found those keys. That looks awesome!

I've reached out to MCN to see if they have the older PA style screw that will work with this key style as well, as the one they're selling online is too long for my older cage design. Thanks for the heads up!

@Laynex I really like the new security screws, specially keyed to the MCN key’s driver bit.

I ordered these to change out from the old pin-in-hex type screw that took the L-shaped Allen wrench.

I agree the new security screws are nice, love the added security of the unique key pattern.
