Firstly welcome to the Mansion and secondly I agree with pretty much all of the above.

I would start with a cheap (Chinese) plastic cage to start with to give you a chance to explore. Try and buy one which comes with a number of different size back rings so then you can play around to find which one suits you. Also remember that it takes you body time to adjust to wearing a cage - especially if you've never done it before.

Getting the right 'gap' between the cage and ring is also essential for both comfort and security and some makes (such as the CB range) give you the option of experimenting with this as well. Once again give your body a chance to get used to things.

Remember what suits one person may be completely impossible to wear for the next guy.

Start slow. Get used to wearing the cage for an hour or so at a time and gradually build up the time. Make sure you really are used to it before trying to go through the night. Use plenty of Vaseline or moisturiser around your balls to prevent chaffing - especially early on and you do build up tolerance.

Get your partner fully involved. It is absolutely amazing how different the experience is when uyou don't have the key and realise that you are reliant on someone else to let you out and that they, not you, have control of your sexuality.

Once you have worked a fit and style that works for you then you can think about switching up to something more expensive and steel ! By the way CherryKeeper makes 3D printed cages, included fully bespoke, and seems to have a tremendous range of sizes and styles for both cages and back rings.
