Lori has closed down

    I got an email from Lori tonight that she is closing her doors and i will not get my cage. I ordered in April of 2020 and expected arrival was around August. Then it went from August to sept to dec to Jan and as of the other day, it was March. I just spoke to her this week and everything was fine. She said I’m 16 in line and they still pushing them out. I’ve waited patiently and was still excited to receive the cage. Well tonight I got an email that she had canceled. I’ve waited almost a year, just to have her cancel. This is depressing. I’m emotionally upset. I’ve always wanted one of her devices, I was finally at a point of my life where I could get one and this happens. This sucks!

    I am still waiting for my cage, I had correspondance with her last week and nothing was mentioned.

    Do you know what number on the list you are? I was 16 this week. Nothing was mentioned when I spoke to her this week. Got a random email from her 2 hours ago

    I was 13 in the Q as of last week.
    So far I have not had an e mail. I will look out for one soon if you are 16th.

    I ordered the 2a. What’s weird is she sent me a “new email” and didn’t respond to our original email. I wonder if her email got hacked? I’m so confused that you didn’t an email. Maybe she’s only doing the last 15 orders.

    The website is still up, I have not checked to see if they will accept new orders if so it does not seem like the business has shut down.
    Have you tried emailing her back?

    yes I’ve emailed her on both the email she sent me and the original. No reply. Just odd that no one else got the message and also that it was on a new email message. Why not just reply to our original emails? Her website is still up. This email came in at 621pm est. so just 3 hours ago.

    May be she has been hacked. She normaly answers e mails within 24hrs so see what reply you get.
    Have you checked any other forums to see if there has been any one else with an email like yours?

    No I haven’t checked. This place is all I know to go too. I’m hoping she got hacked. But i hope the hacker didn’t delete the messages

    idk. I got so many confused emotions going through my head. Why take on more orders if your just going to cancel. I’ve been waiting since April of last year. Not like I just ordered it. I never once was a dick, if anything I always gave positive emails. Told her no rush I understand the delays I’m just happy to receive it. Stuff like that. Hell we even chatted normally without chastity talk. I’m super confused.. especially since no one else got this email

    Got an email last week saying I was next. Verified sizes and everything. Then got the email tonight stating she is sending a full refund in 2 weeks. Dang it

    I was under the impression that her partner that used to do most of the 'manufacturing' had stood down a while back and her nephew was doing all the work.. and looking for help or an apprentice or something in between.

    That’s crazy. I was just going to see about sending my 2a back in for resizing, (against all my urges and sense). Guess it’ll end up on the shelf or a For Sale thread soon.

    I had a Lori device about 12 years ago now. They were considered the best. I wasn’t so impressed.

    Lori and I emailed last week. She said I was next up, verified sizing and paid extra for the heart shaped keys. I got the email that she has ceased production and I would be refunded within 2 weeks.

    I've just had an email from MsLori . She explained that mike is no longer working with her and she is currently seeking another craftsman to continue to produce her devices . She has offered a refund as she can not currently give a manufacturer date . The business has not closed but as mike hand made all the devices she is currently unable to say when production will restart .

    Wow that is a real blow.
    I chatted with Mike via another forum and he seemed committed to trying to get another craftsman in and making the best devices.
    Such a shame for us and Ms Lori and Mike as well.

    Hi all,
    Been in many emails w Ms. Lori this week. @Danny15 summed it up well. It appears Ms. Lori had a falling out w her production partner(s) because she insisted on standing by her word (a rare and genuine quality). My cage was at least 1 that was not built to ordered dimensions and there were arguments about how to fix it. She insisted they stand behind their product.

    She needs to reduce orders and regroup, but her designs and commitment to her word are the best I have ever experienced so I am 100% supportive even though it may be a long time before my cage is fixed.

    Maybe Ms. Lori can give out "priority" tickets to all those who have to take a refund for when she regroups later? Either way I am sure this will dissappoint many. Try to remember that she has contrubted a lot to this community and is unwilling to cave.

    In the meantime any craftsman out there willing to put up with her crazy high quality standards???

    It seems with so many orders that she gets, might be a nice sidestep or career change to jump into? Seems like if you know or can learn pretty quick, there should be some profit built into the various devices? Could at least maybe negotiate for some profit. Ms. Lori has not been shy with price increases over the years ..... surely they were warranted. Good 'ol supply and demand.

    Ms Lori is clearly upset as Mike is her nephew. One can only hope that she can find another skilled craftsman, or on re thinking their positions they can repair their relationship an possible work together again.

    I can only imagine the reasons for the falling out. Given the backlog of orders and pressures on both sides.
    But Ms Lori has never been anything but communicative and up front. She has also been a highly valued chastity maker for 30 years. I agree entirely with trying to support her if possible as a community so we do not loose her and her devices perminently.

    Yep, I received the same email this afternoon. Placed my order on April 15th last year. Figured my build was just around the corner. Oh well. Asked for a refund. Guess it just wasn't meant to be. Meh.
