    ENTP - definitely fits. Would be curious to see what my fiance/master is- she is definitely more type A! Will have to ask her.

    I'm INFJ.

    I have done this MBTI profile test many times over the years (related to work), with fairly consistent results. I think there is some use in it (as a way to analyse and understand personalities), but, as some others have said on this thread, there are limitations to it.

    I think one limitation is that (using myself as an example), I am strongly I and N, but in the other two categories, my results are much closer - ie, my scores for F and T, and then for J and P do not show a strong preference one way or the other, But, the final MBTI profile is the same whether you are strongly or narrowly in a certain category. To me, that is a drawback to MBTI.

    I think it is useful to do more than one type of personality test. As @LesterBallard mentioned in this thread, Belbin team roles is another test worth doing.

    from what was mentioned on tv recently about personality tests

    they seldom come up with the same results for the same individual even after a few days interval between tests.

    i've never held any confidence in them. different people are quite capable of interpreting many questions differently.

    its why I generally won't even do surveys.

    I am rated ISFJ-A (Defender). Best personality test is to g on vacation with someone. Things get real very quickly.

    Same here... when I took the test the 1st time, I was very much INTJ.
    I realized to be a better leader (was active military), I needed more extrovert experience.... the last test I took (10 years after the first) I am now I/E (borderline).
    I call myself a trained extrovert

    that’s a very surprising/interesting personality archetype given your ability to be so comfortable keeping another person in a vulnerable or difficult mental state for days or weeks.

    Myers-Briggs is a later codification of Carl G. Jung's work Psychological Types, published in 1921. I determined my 'type' by reading the original work, not by taking a test.

    My dominant type is Introverted Sensation, my auxiliary type is Extraverted Thinking. Hence, my Myers-Briggs type is ISTJ.
