Anyone have any feelings on doing a spring time gathering in the chicago area? I know that several of us are from the area (noticeably more couples than singles). I was thinking of setting one up and renting a house up in/near Lake Geneva wisconsin http://www.lakegenevawi.com/ I know people up there who can help get me a deal on a rental, plus it is a rather nice area that is far enough off the beaten path to be relaxing but still a tourist trap if you stay on the main road.

Yes stroppy, we should try and fix something up for the Brits in the New Year. As far as a spring meet is concerned, it would be hit and miss with me depending on work, but it doesn't really matter where in the US it would be... a 9 hour flight is a 9 hour flight!
I vote for May in Chicago...but I'm biased since I live here. I would go over to England in a second!!! There are SOOO many of you I want a chance to meet!! The chance to get together is very exciting!!!:CMrocks:
What about local gatherings- to meet locals - other can still come from different areas - and have a CM Gathering once a year switching between- VA(Mistress Michelle) and the UK(Mistress Watchful)
This frequent lurker says Chicago (I work downtown, but don't live there). Any one time is as good as another, but just please for the love of bacon and beer, not Memorial day weekend. Chances I could talk the Mrs. into attending are slim but I have an event on Memorial day that I'm not willing to miss.
I was thinking Lake Geneva was in Ohio east of Cleveland. Having known it was in Wisconsin, I would have voted for Chicago, probably in March.

Lake Geneva is in Ohio near Cleveland, but there is also a Geneva, Wisconsin as well. Is it Lake Geneva or just Geneva? *shrugs* I have voted for April in Chicago on the poll, but my schedule is flexible enough that I can say anytime in spring should be fine except the beginning of May (we have a BDSM event then) and the beginning of March (early March in Chicago can still get some nasty weather).
pet and I have spent a while thinking about this, and due to recent events and changes it is unlikely we will want to attend a Gathering in the foreseeable future. This is not something we wish to discuss in public, and if we have cause to change our minds, we will let you know.

I would love for Chicago!! Or the UK of course....anywhere really..I'm up for travel!! Its so exciting meeting people from here. I had the wonderful opportunity to meet with Mistress Becca while in England but I had a vanilla friend with me...next time solo so I can check out all I want!! Love it!!
