In short... does anyone here have any experience of this? I love the look of the Lori and it fits perfectly. The only problem is the pain and discomfort the dulled steel spikes cause. I suppose we could send it back to have Lori do it herself, but it would probably be cheaper, and definitely quicker, to do it ouselves if we had access to the right tools. Can anyone shed any light on this? Sarah.
A dremel tool should do the trick pretty easily. They make a variety of sanding attachments for it. I'd probably start with a coarse grit, and finish with a fine grit, to make sure it's very smooth when done. Good luck! mikecb
I would say if you went on E bay you could pick one really cheap, but then you also need to know what kind of bit it takes to grind down stainless steel....

I have a lori device and had a number of changes made. I always found lori to be very fast and reasonable. Not to mention the quality of work was superb. It doesn't seem like a big job, but I'd send it back to her if I was you. Get it done right, at the source. You'd likely have it back before you even notice it's gone.
Thanks all... We've noticed a real problem with oedema, so the question is now moot, and we're looking for a full belt. There's no way the Lori is going to suit John in the long term. I stress this isn't a problem with the devicce, the construction, the quality or the fit -- it's just that John's physiology doesn't react well to it. Sarah.
