I'd like to make two further points:

(a) Getting to the point of going out anywhere in public seems like a mountain to climb, but the way to do it is in small steps. It certainly does not happen overnight. For me, it began chatting to others like me online, then going for a makeover, then going to that first going to a trans social event, togoing to more mainstream bars, to going full daylight shopping with a friend in a bust city centre and mall (the *scariest* step for me ever). From start to end, this was just less than 18 months. It took support from others and a lot of encouragement from one friend in particular. But yes, one step at a time.

(b) At every step, and once out fully in public, you finally realise that any fear you had, at any point along the way, was always completely unjustified. And just as the fear melts away, so does any internalised shame about cross-dressing. People are not only very accepting, but seem to appreciate the diversity of it all. On more than one occasion. I have even had guys in bars, without any agenda, come over to me and say that they have total respect for the courage of people like me dressing up and getting out so publicly. So yes, he fear is irrational.

So all I want to say is, if anyone has the desire to fully cross-dress and get out there, just decide to do it and work out the steps you need to take to get there.
