    Good afternoon,

My fiancé and I are going on vacation To an all inclusive in Mexico the middle of next month and they have expressed interest I’m me being caged the entire time, however there are a lot of water activities we will be doing. Does anyone here with more experience have recommendations on the best solution for wearing a cage in the water? I have a nub clone from amazon and am nervous the little brass cylinder lock will rust, I figured picking up a few more is a safe bet but I didn’t know if there was a better solution.

Thank you in advance for your tips and suggestions

Brass shouldn't rust. But if you wanted to relieve your worries, you could get some extras to swap out during trip.

Thank you for your input, I’m not sure if it is real brass, it’s whatever came with it which was probably a cheap lock. I know I’ve had similar locks get weird and oxidized looking after showering with them on. I am definitely excited for the prospect of being locked while swimming though. It will be a new experience.

You should be good to go, it would be like wearing it in the shower... just make sure you rinse off after salt water & possibly be prepared to get a new lock?

I have the same concerns as you do. I have a small bottle of oil used for bike chains. I will put a little on the key and try to get the oil into the lock that way. I have started unlocking for showers but keeping caged. I have a small piece of plastic the shape of the lock that holds the cage together until after the shower.

I wouldn't worry. I've used magic lockers / wacht burg locks for years. Even the cheap ones hold up to it (although the real ones are absolutely worth the $25 and the key is slightly cuter, so bonus for Mistress). If you're really worried, get some Tri-Flow dry lubricant and put a few drops on the lock/in the cylinder ( @homebody mentioned the bike lubricant, I'm guessing he's also talking about Tri Flow). This is a good practice anyways for these locks.

That is an excellent guess. That is exactly what I use.

I would not worry about the salt water as much as sand particles. Imagine the inside of your bathing suit when you get hit by a wave in the surf. You stay in the chest deep water while you pull the material to the side to get the sand out of your crouch. Now think about all the little grains of sand that can work into a barrel lock, may prevent the key from going in or once in turning.

I know there are pictures of some couples who have pictures at nude beaches, they may be better able to address this. I personally know of one couple who go to Hedo (not sure why they didn’t go this year) and they did have this problem when they got home and I drilled out the lock for them. They didn’t know when it happened because there was no attempt to take his cage off down there. They have a cuckold relationship, so while she played he was there to watch.

Same! I was all confident and felt comfortable with it until now. I mean ultimately it’s not up to me but I know my KH wasn’t planning on having me wear it through TSA so that would totally suck if it happened!

Get some replacement locks and test the existing one frequently and ditch it at the first signs of not turning freely.

Pack the lock with petroleum jelly before swimming. Wash it hot with hot water after and lube with WD40 or similar after cleaning.

The replacement locks if you look around are usually in packs of three and are relatively inexpensive given the amount of use you get out of them.

I find olive oil is good lubricant for locks. It's quite light, safe to use and doesn't smell!

This is our fourth year of going to the beach while PK is locked in his device. We have been to Gunnison, Haulover, Blind Creek beaches and Desire Pearl Resort in Mexico and never had a problem with the locks malfunctioning or binding up because of sand or salt water. We only use Burg-Wachter locks (from Steinlock) as they are a better quality and as mentioned before the keys are much more appealing to the eye. Well at least my eye and that's all that matters. When I used a device on him that required a padlock I only used ABUS.

As far as lubricants I am no expert on the subject, so I will allow PK to to weigh in here.

Thank you Ms. Maddie for allowing me to contribute. I am honored

Be careful with petroleum based products. Oils/grease/silicon tend to attract dirt (sand) and dust and will stick to the lube causing more harm than good over time and use. I would recommend using a product that is designed for locks such as dry lubricant. In fact an old lock smith told me many years ago that Dry Graphite is the best lock lubricant. This is what I use on all my locks (car, home, and Ms. Maddie's devices). It is a powder (be careful it is so fine it can be a bit messy) and usually comes in a small tube. If you are really sold on a spray find a Dry Lube (like chain lube)

    Well done PK.

Small padlocks are ridiculously easy to break open so don't worry about it until it happens.

Live with the thrill of it possibly becoming jammed, then just two minutes on youtube will give you a number of ways to break open a small brass padlock.
(search for "how to open a lock with a nut wrench")

Having said that, I've swam in the sea, and I shower while caged, and taking no special precautions at all, I've never had problems with my padlock.

Same. Never oiled them, swim in the ocean, never had any problems, the locks are now about 4 years old.
