    Does anyone know of any mentions of male chastity in normal society/culture? In the same way that there are films/songs about crossdressing/transgender etc.

    I have not. I have wondered many times how many of "us" are out there in the real world. It's wonderful to have CM as a place for us to meet and share idea's.

    Not using devices, but chastity and being chaste are often referenced in many religions.

    And it’s not just Christianity. There are eastern ones that talk about the energy and not dispersing it via orgasms. Sorry I don’t recall the example I’m thinking of, but I just can’t recall it.

    yes I read that in the old days that men wud lock up a Lady when they went to figt and they wudnt be able to take it off till the man come back again. but that was ages and ages ago and I dont think it happen now.

    I would ask what is normal society.
    Ask a 1000 people and you will get a 1000 different opinions on what normal is.
    My normal differs greatly from others normal as does yours. So I ask again, what is normal.

    I guess I just meant mainstream media, films, music etc. It might be a good way of broaching the subject for those who know nothing about it...was more just interested.

    Normal is obviously different for each individual so that's why the inverted commas.

    Yes a sort of romantic comedy, where the male lead makes some kind of bet about being chaste and the lead female wins setting up a funny/sexy back and forth as she keeps him in line. Of course they go from not interested in each other at all, to falling in love, ending with a big wedding, with a mystery whether he is wearing cage under his tux or not.

    Californication (Showtime series with David Duchovny) has a subplot where his best friend is in chastity for a new girlfriend. This is the most mainstream treatment of chastity as a kink that I am aware of.

    Edit - if I recall correctly, it was only an episode or two....

    I don't want to dissappoint but that looks far too big, it's more the size of a front door key.

    with a similar thought... are most men so small that they only market to small packages or are they saying only small packages are willing to be locked. on the other hand most porn has guys 8-12 inches long so are guys below average at 7 inches ?
    could be in both cases they are marketing to imaginations not reality and neither is a good way to judge what is normal.
