Hey all,

I've decided to finally drop some more money into a device after trying a few chinese knockoffs, including HTv2 and v3 copies, now that the new HTv4 are out.
My question for the HT owners: Does the plastic/resin smell? My knockoffs had a slight but annoying smell of plastic to them, which was especially noticed by my girlfriend/KH. For me it wasn't that strong but apparently she has a good nose.
So before paying this much for a real HTv4, can anyone tell of their experience with the smell of these devices?

I have authentic V2 & V4s. The only time they have any scent is when the boy needs a wash.

 

I ordered a knock off yesterday. I already have a HTv2 knock off. It's not perfect but it is sufficiently good to be used. Can anyone tell from experience what the differences between the knock offs and the originals are? Some say that the build quality of the original is more or less the same as the knock offs. I suspect that the knock offs come from the same factory as the originals... I don't believe the manufacturers claim that they produce in switzerland.

 

The quality is totally different. And yes, based on felievery time and postage on the parcel, it definitely comes from Switzerland.
Maybe they manufacture it elsewhere, but shipment is definitely from Switzerland

 

biggest issue I have had with the knock offs, bio resin ring will not stay locked. Solved that by getting a metal ring. Stays locked but much heavier.

 

In the opinion of people who've used the V3 and V4 is there a sufficient difference to justify an 'upgrade' to V4?

lf so, what do you find the difference when wearing it?

I just want to know if there is sufficient difference, when worn, to justify an upgrade.

I bought 2 the other day. £35 each from House of Denial. I have been wearing mine for 24hrs now, since it arrived. Very comfortable. I even ran up stairs to my site office and it was no problem. Got a little bit of heat under the nut sack when I wore it with the next ring size down, but swapped over this morning for the largest ring and the sensation went away. I preferred the Standard cage to allow me to get aroused before release and love making, but the comfort of the Small cage as I'm held in a bit shorter and tighter when flaccid.

 

Hi there - how does the custom cartridge work? Is it a sticker that’s pasted on the ring? Or is it embedded in the ring? I’m wondering if the picture or text will fade with time

 

It's embedded in the ring, no getting it out. So far (4 months) no fading.

 

hi, i just received my v4 nub and i upgraded from v3 (both knockoffs).
Its a significant upgrade, the new shape of the ring is much more comfortable for me. Also if you are nano sized they changed the tube to prevent popout problems. So yes
