Gee, maybe that would have been relevant information when you told the original story. You clearly led us to believe that this was all spontaneous. So save the sarcasm.

 

Everybody’s a critic these days. Even if there was some embellishment, (not saying there was or wasn’t here) this Forum used to be much more enjoyable because of it. The threads here are mostly boring these days. Wonder why that is?

Perhaps, if people have nothing worth contributing, or don’t believe the thread, they could just move on so that they don’t stress themselves out over some random internet post. Just a thought to the crowd that feels they must post on every single thread.

 

I agree. For my part, I apologize. The OP does not deserve our vitriol. What ARE we if we have to gang up on someone in such an informal place as this?

My behavior in this thread has been reprehensible. It's time to stop being a buzzkill for others.

 

Some of us aren’t being critics. Look at my comments. I feel this is most likely fiction, but I have also said, I’m not certain and it’s possible.

I agree with you that civility helps everyone. And if we respectfully disagree, that’s fine. Arguing and being nasty serves no one.

I’ve said it many times ans I wish those who write fiction would put it in the fiction section. What annoys me is people who write it and claim it’s real. Worse are the ones who defend it as being real when they know it’s fiction.

So that’s my take. And I’m not saying OP is or isn’t in the later category. I just don’t think this is real. But does that really matter?

 

My comment was in general, definitely not directed at you. I appreciate and like many of the comments you make!

I usually stay away from posting very much these because it seems like so many threads just turn into arguments. I was making a comment about how this place used to be friendly. Even if you posted something most don’t believe. Sometimes people can just ignore the thread is all.

 

i understand. And I didn’t take your comment as aimed at me. I was just making a point that some of us try to make reasonable replies. And respect goes both ways. Hence yours meets that as all should.

 

I’m sure you’ve seen plenty. I’m not interested in tracking them down to share with you. My time on here isn’t unlimited.

 

When you took over the site there was plenty of whining, griping, and arguing going on. I think you’ve done a real good job of limiting it. Now I don’t read most of the threads but the ones I do seem to be filled with comments that are civil and on topic. So there has been a huge positive change.

So while I can’t point out an example, there are bound to be a few that are not so. That said, they’re the exception not the rule anymore. Good leadership, good moderators and good members seems to really limit it here.
