Just an update. I'm less than impressed with Loctite. I've tried twice now, the first time I left it about 6 hours, the second 24 hours elapsed. On both occasions I had tightened the ball up with pliers and a protective strip of rubber and both times I was able to unscrew it without tools.

And now I've found that having done it up finger tight it doesn't come undone with fingers.

Yesterday I used my modified cage for the first time. I wore it for about 5 hours, with no problem with the piercing but the usual rubbing issues due to not having worn it for a time.

So I have just realised that yesterday was six moths since I was pierced by Anne.
I have healed, stretched, healed, stretched and healed again. I am happy with the 5mm jewellery that resides in the piercing.
I am once more caged (despite what I said up thread) and its not coming off without the keys.

I am so pleased that I have done this

I've been wearing the modified cage for three days continuously now. I have to say the addition of the PA ring seems to have made it more comfortable.
I no longer suffer with the head retreating, never have pee inside the cage so cleaning is less bothersome and long term wear more realistic.
Mostly I'm completely unaware of my penis which is one of my aims.
I am aware of the base ring though, so no change there!

So, basically, 6 months start to finish to be where you wanted to. Good to know as I expect to be going for my PA in September or October...

Very interesting and thoughly enjoyed reading this thread. I've occssionaly thought about having a PA but not being circumcised and having a lot of loose foreskin when flaccid has always put me off.

Thanks for sharing this story. I have wanted a PA and I was all set to get it and then lockdown struck. I was all prepared to go in and take the hit for a few seconds. Did you not feel anything then? I know it is a short sharp pain from what I have been told, it is because you expect it that it plays on the mind.

    Bad weekend
Two weeks ago I decided to replace my jewellery. I was finding the steel ring somewhat heavy and wanted a TI ring instead. It seemed silly to waste money getting the same size so I bought a 6mm ring and taper.
The stretch was easy easy and the new jewellery installed. The type of ring is one of the captive bead rings where the bead is the same size as the ring, but it is trapped on the inner diameter of the ring.
A couple of days and all was well. Until the ring moved around so the bead was by the piercing. the piercing went over the smaller diameter between ring and bead and 'snapped' closed. It was uncomfortable. Worse I couldn't get any lube in and so effectively had to stretch dry and over a short wide taper.
This repeated a couple of times until I decided I couldn't put up with it any more. I changed back to the 5mm ring during a short break from work. In my haste to get the change completed I neglected to fully tighten the screw ball. About an hour later I was again feeling uncomfortable and inspected at the earliest opportunity. The ball had come unscrewed and the ring come out of the piercing. After all of the abuse the piercing was quite inflamed. I couldn't get the 5mm back in. All I could do was to put in the 4mm ring which was still quite tight.
I have tried to get the 5mm ring in on several occasions since without success.
I definitely feel it was a one step forward, two steps back exercise.
    I'm not very happy.

I'm sure it could be done faster with a giant 5mm initial piercing. However, I think there is a reason most piercers prefer to start small and work up.

I've had frenum, guiche, and PA piercings. Enjoyed them all, but the PA is the only one that remains. Increased gradually to 4-5mm and PA is perfect - and forever. I can removed for an extended period and still reinserts with a little time and lube. The frenum and guiche never fully healed, no matter how hard I tried to leave them alone. First time removed, couldn't get back in... after many months of healing. The PA is also the least painful to get :)

Had mine done decades ago. A little bleeding, well yes initially there was A LITTLE. then pretty much none. I realise now my piercer was a little inexperienced re PAs a good piercer would have reccommeded installing a ring one mm larger than the hole. which would have speeded up the stretching process and minimised the little bleeding.

The worst part would be the little bit of crusty scab you get on the ring in between cleans. I'd suggest cleaning three times a day and clean thoroughly before turning the ring.

Whether or not liberal application of petroleum jelly would help prevent the crusting thing I imagine it would but never thought to try it at the time.

I started with a 10 gauge and then went to an 8 and then a 6 before being put in a PA chastity device. The entire process took 10 months. It's important not to rush it as you need to make sure the piercing is fully healed.

Have you considered a segmented ring? Those are nice and smooth and can spin freely through the PA. You will need ring opening pliers to put it together so it is fairly sturdy.

Aaaaaaand the 5mm ring is back in! After a long hot soak, candle light and soothing music I felt good and relaxed and tried pushing the taper through. It went through so quickly I nearly dropped it.

Now I've made my feelings very clear previously about bananananana bars in PA piercings. However, for me they are good as a first step when stretching prior to putting in a CBR. I found a solution to the ball slipping back up the urethra. 14mm comedy balls. These babies weigh 30grams or three times that of a bar with 10mm balls and after 24 hours they were too much. However, the piercing is now more loose and the ring slid back in. I may go back to the comedy balls prior to going back to 6mm gauge as I think the weight will stretch the piercing.

Funnily enough I though about one of these last night. I can't seem to find one available in 18/19mm, but I might drop down to 16mm.

For completeness, a picture of the Comedy Balls in situ.

I should perhaps qualify that name in that it is about scale of the balls to the size of the bar. I apologise to anyone who has such jewellery, in fact I salute you for hanging that much mass of a relatively narrow bar!

    Today I got back to 6mm / 2 gauge.

The new jewellery is slightly smaller diameter @ 16mm which I think is a better size.

Thanks to @kcuck5280 for suggesting a smooth segment ring. I couldn't get the size in Ti but settled for 316L steel instead.

That looks really good on you.
How was installing the 2ga segment ring? I remember it requiring a lot of hand strength!

Hand strength in that size wasn't an option. I used circlip pliers. Proper ring opening pliers are on order.

Special tools are like keys. It'll stays on until the tool/key is available.

Congrats and I wish you a speedy healing....a morning soak in salty water did for me. Like you, the initial piercing was over in a flash and nothing really felt. Good luck for the stretching though!

It's a long time since I added to this thread. I realise that it is just over two years since I had the initial piercing.
During 2021 I did stretch up to 0g/8mm, but decided that the jewellery was just to bulky and let it drop back to 2g.
I'm still have no regrets about getting pierced and just seeing the ring that is effectively now part of me gives a good feeling.
