As an avid cyclist, I am looking for some advice on what style of cage is best to wear while on the bike? I currently have a Mature Metal Jailbird and wear it most of the time, but it is really hard to wear while cycling so I am allowed to remove it while riding. Is there a model that would make this hobby of mine possible, without removing it? Not sure if cage length is a factor but mine is currently 1.75 long. ( planning to reduce length very soon) Thank you in advance for advice!

This isn't much of a chastity device, but I am thinking about getting one for when I work out...

    https://shop.oxballs.com/LOCKDOWN-chastity-cage-by-hunkyjunk-HUJ-110.htm

    https://shop.oxballs.com/TAILPIPE-ASSLOCK-COCKLOCK-OXBALLS-TAILPIPE.htm

I know these devices can be easily "defeated" but come on... This guy is gonna be riding a bike for 50 miles... They are flexible, easy to wear, and you really think he is gonna "cheat". If you do pick the one with the insert, lol....

Just my opinion, but these would clearly be the easiest to wear, but they really aren't long term chastity products... more for bedroom teasing.

I cycle regularly wearing my mature metal device. 10-30 miles

I wear padded bike shorts and have a well broken in brooks saddle

    Good luck!

My MM device has a double ring. You might consider that if you have a single ring

Also, applying baby oil gel (not baby oil) under the ring helps

What exactly is your problem with your current device while riding? I go for 15 miles 4 times a week and never have the slightest problem though I suppose problems might start arising the longer you go.

I have a differing opinion on this. As a cyclist too, I think this is the wrong question. CAN it be done? Yes. But I think we should ask instead, "is it worth it?"

NO cyclist plans on crashing. Yet, if you ride enough, you will. Do you REALLY want the potential of tearing your balls off due to a chastity device in a crash?

My new device is so comfy I almost forget I am wearing it. Yet, it still comes off for cycling.

This is purely my opinion, but NO chastity "streak" is so important that I will risk safety for it.

I admit I have pondered that question occaissionally and am in denial about the risk

    I should rethink this

My issue when I attempted it before was it was really uncomfortable sitting in saddle. Now that was also before I had the MM cage shortened up to current length. After reading the comments here, I may need to do another test ride and verify problem still exist since length is just over an inch shorter. It didnt seem to be an issue for the first 20-25 miles, but up around the 75 mile mark it was really starting to get uncomfortable.

I also had considered the safety issue of riding while caged in the event of a crash. Definitely an issue to consider. I really appreciate all the comments from those in this lifestyle longer than myself.

I doubt that. On balance wearing a cage is more likely to prevent injury to the penis rather than cause injury if pressure is applied, and if something catches onto the cage and pulls, would that not be preferable to skin itself being grabbed and possibly torn?

In fact I had an accident (unrelated to cycling but the same principles apply) just last week.
I was doing some DIY and had a bolt stuck in a tool, but instead of putting it in a vice I held the bolt with a wrench by hand and applied torque with a powered drill. Mistake, I applied too much torque and flung the wrench out of my grasp and into my groin, it then bouncing a good 4 or 5 yards away from me. One of those "gosh that was stupid!" moments. If I hadn't been wearing my steel cage I would certainly at least have had a large bruise, if not worse.

I was lucky, but yes, a cage could be either a protection or a cause of injury, it depends on the circumstance, but I do think on balance it's at least as safe wearing a cage than not.

I'm also an avid cyclist as well as regular bike commuter. I'm in a short A273 usually, or an A226. I am always locked for commuting and for training rides <30 miles. I've done rides >50 with climbing while locked, but found the cage either distracting or needing to be physically adjusted or moved. My rule now is I remove the cage when going >30 miles.

Thank you. I believe that is most likely the plan I will follow as well. Seems like around the 25 or 30 mile mark is the magic number.

I like @Rectrix's guide of wearing the cage for rides under 30 miles. As long as it's warm, i can do this with a bit of Vaseline under the base ring and maybe an inconspicuous adjustment halfway thru. I wear a A271 small with a 45 mm base ring.

But when it gets chilly out, i have to switch up to my 50 mm base ring to keep the boys from trying to retract and then getting really cold.

Luckily, @MistressAMA allows me to remove it for group rides when needed, although She requires that i wear an exercise bra instead, just to keep me mindful of my status.

    Hi All,
i never biked with my Jailbird because i too was concerned about a crash. Also, it was irritating on the underside of my scrotum.
Hopefully a pa chastity device will help with this.
    Have a great day everyone!

Wife (and KH) suggested I also bring this up.....while my cage is 1.75 inches, my ring is 2 and 1/8th inch. That is the smallest I could actually fit through. In yall's opinion, could testicle size be working against me? Like I mentioned earlier, I am soon going to be reducing length from 1.75 in down to 1.25 but ring size will be remaining the same. Thanks again everyone for all the advice.

    i try many belts/cages
the better are these which have anatomic rings and whose ring is round (plane rings hurt)
ring which is at the good size for the night is better than another
if i care when sitting, i'm not hurted around balls, event after 50 miles
but i need to be careful on the top of the CB against my pubis
and before the ride i use arnica cream to "oil" CB's movements
