Just wonder what difference in wearing is between these two materials. Anyone have any thoughts?

I got the multi jet. It feels kinda rough on the surface but wearing it is very comfortable.

Are you able to sand and smooth the multi-jet?

Second, Have you had any issue with smell with the multi-jet? I found some posts from a while back that PA-12 was going to be able to fix that smell issue that some where getting with the CK Versatile, but I have not seen any follow ups or reviews that address this specifically.

My CK is in PA-12. I've not noticed any sort of odor or growth; it seems to be totally inert nylon. It does have worse surface finish than I would have hoped for in some places - specifically the back of the cage by the headlock looks like it came off of an FDM printer. I had to go over the whole thing with am emery board before I could even consider wearing it.

    I have all the versions.....
I prefers absolutely the versatile plastic one
It is true that is really better in wearing, the simple version was pinchy for my skin, the smell is the same at all

you have to wash it as often as you can, I do it every 3/4 days

Can you post pictures of the two rings side by side closeup to see the textures?

I didn't sand it, there weren't any burrs or anything like that. So I didn't see the need to do it.
Nothing on smell, that I have noticed.

Got my new set in Saturday and the PA12 is definitely worth the extra. Only needed some rubbing with some fine steel wool in the inside of the ring and still kept the black. 7477BD27-A7A3-4D78-94E2-8928CD5B1DC8.jpeg

Shapeways material guide says that the versatile is dishwasher safe. It makes no mention of that on the PA12 guide. Have you tried throwing yours in the dishwasher? Seems like it’s pretty sturdy if you were able to take steel wool to it.
