So I think I put my pants in the laundry with my holy trainer keys in the pocket and now I can’t find them. Solutions?

@TheKeyIsMine Listen I am asking a serious question about a device I am legitimately stuck in. This isn’t one of your deluded fantasies and this isn’t safe sane or consensual and you are not my domme. If you’re gonna be unhelpful then delete your account.

First of all, calm down. Regardless of your fears and insecurities, a few extra minutes, hours, or maybe even days isn't going to kill you.

Second, the Holy trainer uses a cylinder lock, the included locks are NOT uniquely keyed. I bet you if you got another cylinder lock (or have one laying around) it's keys will likely work on your existing lock.

Third, check the lint trap on your dryer, maybe you will get lucky

@Alana Thank you for the advice on the keys! As it turns out, the V3 is pretty flimsy along the lock cylinder. I managed to twist it in a way that let me slide the lock out without damaging the device!

    mikeybound,

If you did your clothes using your own washer and dryer, both units should have a trap/screen that would prevent larger items from exiting the machine.

There's a good chance it's in the washdrum, perhaps they were under the agitator. If you can reach under that with a small, flat ruler, you might be able to check and push them out to where you can reach them. Or, see how the agitator removes from your washer and remove it. I can't see how a key that size might leave the drum, but even if it did, there should be a trap in the system somewhere to capture it.

If you used a commercial laundry, you obviously won't have those options. The Holy Trainer is plastic, so if worse comes to worse, you could cut the base ring on it for release. Of course, you'd have to order another one and still figure out how to get the lock out.

I have two legitimate V2 and now two legit V4 Holy Trainers. NONE of them are keyed alike. If you have one of the Chinese knock-offs, I've heard people mention that those are ALL keyed alike. So perhaps that might save you. Actually, if you do have a knock off, then destroying it won't "hurt" as much financially either. You can get a complete knock off for what HT charges for just a base ring.

    Good Luck,

    ~Rick

ON EDIT: OK, good to see you were able to get it off. I'm curious, though. Was that a knock-off HT or a legit model? Mine don't seem to have much "play" in them at all. If I twisted too much, it seems something would crack.

@subrick I can’t speak for those devices, but the V3 can be twisted in a way the forces the lock out without damaging the cage. So it’s all good!

Ok, my bad. I made an assumption about legit Holy Trainers based upon my experience with the knock offs. I shouldn't have done that. I guess the Legit Holy Trainers DO come with uniquely keyed locks. On the other hand the Original Post did not mention if the HT was Legit or Knock Off, so....

For future reference: If they are still made of bioresin, take a hot bath and bend back the base ring.

Glad you resolved your situation, for future reference, a small 2 or 3mm drill would take care of the lock easily.

Glad everything worked out OK. But lessons should be learnt, the keys should be stored seperetly first off.
I've had that panic before that this poor bloke seemed to be going through, its not nice. But better planning is the key ( no pun intended )
