    Have you ever mixed and match components from different devices (eg: Maybe paired a ring with a cage that were not sold together)? If so what success and failure have you had with it... It would be easier for people to see what you are talking about if you actually linked the devices. I am sure most of the devices are somewhat modular with other devices. Let me know what you think.

    I have tried with my metal de3vices because the locking is very similar, however, I have not had much luck in finding compatibility between devices.

    I did with two HoD Holy Trainer Ver2s to try and get a combination of plastic bits with the least amount of slop in the assembly. Waste of time really...

    None of my Chinese designs are close enough to fit. I have switched a short plastic tube for a long one, but that was easy done.

    I've done it more than once with no problem. Always same brand though.

    Same, some are left or right side lock entrances, and if the locks are on the same side the guide pins don't line up with the holes.

    same here, I switched out the base rings between my cb2000 and curve. But couldn’t interchange the rings when I used a Chinese metal cage.
