Hey, since i got my belt, i was always a bit annoyed by the default locking mechanism, cause those are default locks and all locks do have the same key. so i could unlock the belt of someone else with my key. Those locks are originally made to seal a computer case side panel. Also i missed a possibility to attach a numbered seal. Therefore i just designed a new lock mount, compatible to the regular lock mount on the belt. This mount gives us the possibility to use a standard Padlock like the abus ti64/20 and a numbered seal at the same time. you will find some screenshots of the CAD model attached. I'm now looking for some company to produce this. If someone else is interested in changing the locking system. feel free to contact me. maybe we can get some discounts due to ordering multiple pieces. What do you think about this solution?
Hello, The keys have the numbers taken off them, we also have keyed differently locks here so each lock requires a different key, Therefore you would have to try 1998 different keys before unlocking yours, let me know if this is of any interest, thank you
I will go with my modification. I like the idea of a digital padlock, so it only opens with her fingerprint. a few years ao i bought some of these pc case locks. they lock identical and each key fits. so currently i do own 8 keys for the original locks. but yes, the original locking system is defnitely more "comfortable / polished" (hard to describe what i mean.)

The locks has a flat surface area that meets with a flat ridge and snugs up with key to bring the two sides together, or at least that's what it looks like. I would think that for the original poster's modification to work, it would have to have some part that moves that when padlocked prevents that movement of the threaded screw. Is that accurate, OP? And if not, could you please clarify? Thank you.

i paid 60€ for 2 sets including tax and shipping. just ask a local metal worker if he can do this on his cnc lathe
Hi, Have downloaded the STEP file and am looking at getting two made. Does the file contain the screw fitting so the bolt from the belt can be used or do I need to provide those (or are they standard)? Thanks
