How do you protect your panties from sharp edges?

It may not be for everyone but I have always inserted a panty liner or maxi pad into my panties. This will protect your panties from little picks and tears from the sharp edges of some devices. I learned this long ago after damaging a few of my most favorite pairs of panties. Works in teddies too! It also protects from chastity tears and little pee drops. The thicker the pad the better in my opinion... makes me feel so feminine!

 

Brass locks are easy to file down to take off the sharp edges

 

I agree with Nicoftime. A quality lock like an Abus 65/20 works well. You can easily grind down the edges with a bench grinder, then finish with a fine stone/sanding drum on a dremmel. When smooth buff with chrome polish.

 

If you have an internal lock cylinder that has the edge of the tabs sticking out of the cage, be careful with grinding it down because you will ruin it if you grind down to the tumbler pins.

 

I use pink electrical tape from Home Depot.

 

I like the pink tape. I have also used the end of an old stocking to serve as a barrier between my caged cock and my panties. Perhaps that would work.

well I guess I'm lucky this hasn't happen to me yet thankfully.!! hopefully it doesn't but yes to prevent that issue I would agree with the tape method or use the angle grinder to shave off the sharp edges.

I have been having this exact same problem, was thinking about making a little pouch to cove my cage with (with some Lacey frills) but in the short term the pink tape sounds like a good idea

 

I have a sharp bit of wire on my numbered seal that bites into my panties.
I've just been using tape to cover it and removing tape when I'm asked to make pics.
I would rather find a permanent solution really.

 

I cut a maxipad with wings in half. It takes care of urine drips and prevents sensitive flesh that protrudes from cage from getting pinched. The wing tabs do great to keep it where you want it. It protects me, my panties and makes a smoother front.

 

I just started using my condoms to stop my drippage. I roll one over the cage to contain my precum and it can easily be unrolled to urinate.

 

The cages I prefer to wear all have integrated locks. Some of the lock inserts have sharp corners so I have filed them down slightly to make then rounded corners. Don't want to hurt my nice panties!

 

The lock that came with my Steelheart had sharp edges that would not only destroy panties (especially the plastic or rubber ones I like to wear) but if the lock turned sideways it would pinch the flesh above my scrotum. Twenty minutes with a Dremel tool put a curved bevel all round and didn't affect the lock operation at all.

 

How about some nail polish? Obviously you'd need to apply very carefully. Those locks are still very soft and depending on how it's snagging, you may get away with a nail file (Emory board?) The sand paper and wood rather than metal kind. Only taking off the burrs leftover from manufacturing. You can get plastic (nylon, various colours) replacement locks for these cylindrical locks, but they are single use, keyless design. Yes that's right once locked you're not getting out! Unless of course you "dig or drill" the whole thing out. Exciting thought that isn't it? Didn't even think about this issue, only just starting out so not had it yet. Will keep an eye out, would hate to damage my pretty panties, although it would mean shopping for some more...exciting!

You could get some of the cable sleeve shrink wrap to cover the lock.
Get the bore size a little larger than the thing you're going to wrap (the lock barrel) and the simple application of a hair dryer or hot air gun shrinks it to size.

Google for "cable sleeve shrink wrap" or "heat shrink tubing".
Lots of different colours available... black, pink,...
