About Deleting Your Account

Not going to happen.

Seriously. You can’t delete your account here, and neither can the administrators of Chastity Mansion. Why not?

If you think this is coming out of nowhere, you may want to review the ToU (Terms of Use) you agreed to when you made your account:

You are by uploading/posting granting us with a non-exclusive license to publish your written/uploaded Content on the website www.chastitymansion.com, and only on this website! You retain copyright over the Content.

So. It’s been swell, but the swelling has gone down and you’re done with Chastity Mansion?

Don’t post a thread requesting that your account be deleted. There are numerous examples of these being treated as non-priority issues:

Here’s what you can do:

if there’s anyone with whom you want to continue a conversation off of Chastity Mansion, let them know in direct messages that you’re leaving the site and give them your contact information elsewhere.

• delete your avatar, if you have one

• remove all identifying information from your profile, if you’ve added any

• delete your photos, if you’ve uploaded any

• change your contact preferences so that you don’t get alerts from the site anymore (also remember to remove any links to any other sites). If you can’t remove your email address, change it to one that you pretty much never check

• unwatch all threads, because you may get alerts about any to which you’ve responded

• unwatch all forums, if you indicated any you wanted alerts

• unwatch any wiki pages you to which might’ve subscribed for alerts

• remove your signature, if you set one

• change your password to something you won’t remember, such as to a combination of words that you always misspell - look them up, type them in correctly - plus, I dunno, the date that you joined Chastity mansion or something.

• send a direct message to the administrators asking them to revoke your account

• logout

As of this writing, Chastity Mansion does not accept donations from users or have a subscription service, so there should be nothing showing up on your financial statements.

As you won’t be hearing from Chastity Mansion anymore, you’ve effectively deleted your account and the admins can get around to doing the switchover whenever they have time - as it's now on their radar.

Actually, that's not true. Again, as I quoted in the original post - this time, emphasis mine:

 

Huh. I'm a fairly literal person. I misunderstood your previous comment, and it took me three read-throughs to get a possible handle on this one.

If I'm understanding this correctly, you're saying that I didn't actually leave anything out so much as I didn't add a snide statement - and you were using the suggestion that I'd forgotten it as an excuse to post it as a comment.

If so, still incorrect: I didn't forget it. I've pointed out through multiple examples that someone expecting instant service through a flounce post wasn't going to have the situation they were seeking. I didn't see a need to be crass on top of proof, is all. The fact that you did is a difference of style, not an act of forgetfulness on my part.

If not, I'm going to consider this a serious communications failure, rather than a moderate challenge.

 

As long as you’re taking written responsibility for your commented opinions on my posts as an addendum you’re adding (“I’d like to add”, “Also”, “In other words”) rather than masking them as a claim that my own post failed some way (”You forgot”), that’s fine.
