Does anyone else believe that this is the end of wearing a CB on airplanes?We're not talking about just metal detectors anymore, where you could just use a plastic lock on your CB6000 and be fine. I dont know a lot about the scanners, but Im pretty sure a chastity device would appear on the image and raise some pretty humiliating questions.
I would suspect you are correct. It looks like these scanners are seeing density changes all around the body. There is no way you are going to get through with any type of device on. I've heard jokes about some guys may get a "I'm so sorry" from the security personnel.
Oh for God's sake! If I have to read another thread about this on the net! My personal opinion? If you are wearing a plastic device, I'm pretty sure the officers have more important things to do... If you are wearing a full belt, you wouldn't have been wearing one through airport security anyway! Maybe I'm taking this too lightly, and I'm sure some people do have SERIOUS concerns about this, but here's a thought... why don't they ask someone in authority rather than spreading panic over the internet! JMHO!
I have already emailed the TSA in the US who are responsible for security at airport asking how wearing a plastic CB device is affected by the current security changes. It'll be interesting to see if they take the inquiry seriously and respond. If they do I'll post their reply. As MW said,...ask the people who know,....way too much speculation on the web about this. My opinion is no real change other than you may have to have a private screening if they feel it on a hands on pat down. I was patted down over the holiday period entering the US and they definitely brush their hands across your crotch and they would have felt a CB device. But since I wasn't wearing at the time I don't know what they would have done. Probably a simple question form them and a quick explanation and maybe a private viewing to satisfy their concerns. I hope that is the way it is as I fly often with my CB and have never had any problems. I am flying to San Diego in March for a week and expect to be locked for that trip so I will let you know how that goes. Only problem there is that I will be flying with several work colleagues and they may ask questions as to why I needed a private screening if the TSA notice the CB. Oh well,...all part of chastity!
Please don't kill me! :fighting0085: You are correct that there is no real info that I have seen either. Just what I have seen/read from some of the news sites. A little time and a few who are wearing them will tell the tale of what is real. I just can't help but think that until the security people figure out what they are not looking for there will be a few red faces.
My personal opinion is that the CB-xxxx line is SO commonplace now that it will become a rather standard thing that TSA sees, and won't give a damn about. This could actually be a leg-up for the chastity community. After a bunch of guys report going through TSA in a CB, and being full-body scanned, and sent on their way, people will feel less humiliated about being found out. I've even noticed that some more mundane porn sites often show pictures of guys in CB-xxxx devices. They're getting more commonplace. Perhaps eventually, seeing a guy wearing a CB won't be any more unusual than passing someone through security with a vibrator in their luggage. Besides, as I understand it, the TSA agents at the gate only get a "go/no-go" indicator from the person reading the scanner. The person viewing the scanner is not in the same room as the person being scanned. This also will remove a sense of humiliation. The TSA agent you are interacting with will not even know... they'll only know you're "safe". Personally, I think it won't be long before we see lots of reports of people wearing full belts through security and feeling comfortable doing it. mikecb
The problem is that there is no one in authority to ask- there are rules and guidelines but the local TSA person is allowed to over-rule them. There was a recent news report about a child who's play do was confiscated, even thought the TSA says it is allowed. Another child had his toy plastic gun (small and not realistic) taken away, even though the store by the gate sold the same exact toy. Argue, even asking for a supervisor, and you can be arrested for disturbing the peace. My guess is that the x-ray will show something dense and the TSA officer will make you be inspected visually. What is the difference between plastic and plastic explosive on the machines display? I don't know, but you can be sure they will error on the side of safety and you will be inspected. If they are not familiar with it, you will be made to remove it. The security guards will react to anything out of the ordinary. And remember - these are low skill employees, some with criminal backgrounds, who take abuse from the public daily. Some are honorable and very nice people. Some I have met as complete jerks, who are getting off on being powerful. I am careful not to have any issues with them myself. I have seen others be abused. js
Thank you TCFun, the voice of reason! Does anyone know if they are switching off the scanners when children pass through? There was an upset about the possibility of semi-naked, naked images being distributed somehow. The same for celebrities, what if (somehow) the images are captured and sent off round the WWW?! It's just a new thing to be worried about, same as going to the Drs... how many times do we see that posted "Mistress won't unlock me, woe is me, what shall i do?!" On a more serious note about D/s my personal opinion is that a Mistress should in no way jeapordise their submissive's career. I would not be sending my pet through that kind of worry on a business trip until I had pre-run it on a personal trip first. But that's just me!
Well, I don't know. This latest nutjob who tried to blow up a plane had the bomb in his underwear. TSA might be really suspicious of anything in that region after this.
