For years I thought that it would be a good way to kick a habit too. I've got a different opinion now. Kicking an addition needs two main things. First, and actually most important, the person actually wants to kick it, second they need support, understanding and possibly substitute or anti-depressant drugs. Love and understanding are good too. My opinion is that a spiked cage is going to agrivate the situation.

Excellent idea. As a smoker who would love to quit, I think that this could be great motivation.

 

Either that or a reason to chain smoke.

 

As has been said above, you have to WANT to stop whatever it is in order for it to be successful. If you are serious about quitting smoking and really want to do so, then seek a hypnotist who should be able to help. My partner teaches hypnotherapy and has a high success rate in helping people to stop smoking, eating or drinking

 

I agree. You have to want to quit smoking. It took me 5 times across several years to finally quit for good. Good luck to you both.

 

Deal breaker. I smoked Lucky Strike for 42 years. Never was tolerant of cigarette Nazis. I did finally quit, but only accidentally. Seems the antidepressant I was taking is also good for smoking cessation. But if my partner forced it upon me, they’d be an ex in a heartbeat.

 

Wow. That's control. I'm new to this and the chastity device is a little frightening to me but I'm do obedient and submissive that it's only going to take a little push in that direction.

 

It's a nice idea, and creative , as long as he's not a masochist. You don't want to conflate the very real need to stop smoking with any kind of sexual tease which might accidentally reinforce his smoking habit.

 

Great way to make him drop the cigarettes over time. No doubt he will try push it a little to see how firm you are with the 3.

 

My dad smoked camels unfiltered his while life. 75, and it's the bottom of the ninth. Not going to extra innings. Ignore your health, it will go away. My stepfather, who never smoked, drank, but exercised his whole life, has another 15 years plus in him. Still works part time, still takes classes, walks 3 miles to the gym, lifts weights, and walks home.

Lifting may not add years to your life, but those later years, makes it so you can still do stuff.

 

I always look at it like this-Smoke, drink, eat to excess, don’t exercise and you die. Or, walk daily, eat rabbit food, abstain from drink, drugs and lots of things fun and......wait for it..........you die. No one gets out alive.
I drink single malt scotch, smoke sweet Cuban cohibas, eat meat only, ride my motorcycles helmet free and from my deathbed I plan to write my last bad check made from the paper from the last tree on earth. I’m using up every resource I have on the way out. But, you do what makes you happy.

 

I still think that "cold turkey" works best to quit smoking. Perhaps if you just throw the key in the safe "until" he has quit for at least one month....or more. When I was younger I smoked a lot....now I cannot even stand to be in the same room with someone who is smoking.

 

Have you thought about converting him to e-cigarettes? This should be something you can do as a top because you wouldn't be fighting the addiction. It should be a straight switch over. The downside is he'd still be addicted to nicotine, which isn't ideal, and there's some evidence that even e-cigs are harmful, but at least he wouldn't be inhaling the other 99% of the chemicals in the burning tobacco. Then you could work on breaking that habit.

 

i give it up 2 years and some months ago now and i have never had one again but it is a hard thing to do and the worstest bit was about a month after giving it up.

Serious business! Smoking has caused great harm to the smokers and their families in so many ways!
Try as I might, I do not understand how smoking became popular.
Now I see a new generation embracing e-cigarettes and it makes me wonder why.
The Marlboro Man is buried a couple miles from here. His final message was his redemption and was broadcast posthumously so as not to violate his contract with Big Tobacco.
It might be best if we just continue to speak of our fetishes and CBs. I don’t see any benefit to joining these two separate worlds.
