I’ve been in a well-fitting Mature Metal Jail Bird off and on for three or four years now. Recently, I’ve started waking up a lot of days with my penis pulled out of the cage. My penis is on the small side and I’ve been sleeping on my back due to a shoulder problem recently, so I am guessing this is just a combination of gravity and a little “turtling,” i.e., the penis retracting a little. Anyone had similar experiences or any suggestions? Would a smaller base ruing help? The one I have now isn’t loose but I could probably go 1/8 or 1/4 inch smaller.

I'd try a smaller base ring

Maybe this applies, maybe it doesn't, but it's been suggested that excess body weight can cause turtling.

Yep was gonna mention that too :+1:

Also, perhaps before dropping $$ on a new ring, maybe wrap some surgical tubing or something like that around the base ring to essentially make it a smaller diameter, to test that out and see if that works?

In the past I have also tied paracord or string around my waist and through the top of device/ring, which holds it closer to the body. YMMV??

    Good luck.

Good idea. You can also dip the ring in PlastiDip from Home Depot

I don't have any real suggestions to help, but I just love the word 'turtling' it is so cute! And accurate for how mine looks when it feels shy.

I wear a JB as well and I'm also a grower not a shower. Try closing your gap on the stem the cage rides on. If your gap is too large the little guy can escape.
I have placed mine my cuff ring in my vice at home (protected with a rag) and closed up my gap a little by tapping on the stem downward with a rubber mallet. Go easy. A little goes a long way with gap size.

Also Mature Metal will do adjustments to base ring size, gap or cage length. Just dropped my base ring a size and it only set me back $25 including return shipping. Ask them for guidance on the issue as well.
