Our favorite by far has been a Doc Johnson leather harness (The one that's unisex, and has a big gap for the male parts.) with the Vaccu-Loc system. This is really solid, and lets you change dildo's easily, though we don't. The real key is to remove as much free-play from the whole system. The leather harness is far superior to the cloth type, and uses actual buckles, which don't slip and lose tension. The dildo stays tight to the base and also doesn't have free-play. If there is free-play in the harness or dildo, you will find that you are thrusting away, and the dildo isn't really moving much or at all. This is the biggest problem with a cheap setup and ruins the experience. The Doc Johnson harness I can also wear a bit lower, and closer to the position of my actual junk, which being in a micro cage, fits nicely below and under the harness. Many of the strap-ons out there sit too high for my liking. The Doc Johnson system means you are generally limited to the vaccu-loc dildos, but there are adapters to use standard ones. Still, the dildos are realistic, soft but firm, and generally good quality, and sit really securely. I was 7.5 inches when we stopped using my cock for sex and locked it up, so we ordered an 8", thinking it would be a small improvement over the original parts. The 8" turned out to be easily 30% bigger than I could ever get, so keep that in mind if the woman is smaller, as there are a number of 7" options available and likely plenty big. I guess my point #2 would be to consider matching your cage to your strap-on setup. Consider even having a cage specifically for the strap-on wear. I've really enjoyed my micro stainless Chinese cage, and even really enjoyed using the clear Jelly type with my harness. Both give good feeling with the pressure and movement, without being overly bulky. I've not enjoyed being unlocked as 2 dicks is a bit weird and messed with my headspace. I also didn't enjoy wearing an overly bulky cage, such as my older plastic CB series, or series of rings ones. The smaller stuff gives more feedback, is less bulky, and provides a closer feeling to the strap-on being your actual cock, if that's where you want to go with it mentally.

Over the years, we've gone through several different dildos, and a couple of harnesses. Also, I remove the leather backing pad, which allows me to wear the whole thing very low, so it's in a very natural position.
