Never understood why one would behave different on internet than in daily life.

Is it maybe because they (he (mostly) or she (happens too)) in real life are (or feel) too unimportant?

Behind all these 'internet group' members (staying incognito for obvious reasons) are real people, real lives, real love, real feelings and real relationships, that merit respect like in daily life.

You don't have to agree with someone, but still can respect them for who they are and that they are willing to render themselves vulnerable (in a way) by opening up on a site like this.

Internet unfortunately seems for some the place to act rude , disrespectful , as it is incognito.

But the ones that want to act in this way, should take a moment of reflection about themselves: would you act same way in real life? in F2F encounters?

If your answer is yes: then clearly you will have no friends nor respect in real life and have to find a way to replace this emptiness you live day to day. But don't expect to be able to replace the lack of friends or respect by throwing your garbage or disrespectful approach to others on the internet. You might be incognito but rapidly become a persona non grata.

If your answer is no: then stop acting this way and clean up your internet act. You might be surprised how much internet gives you back when you act respectful and genuine. When you would realize this, then I wish you good luck. It might even give your self esteem a boost in real life too.

Not posting the entire quote, but well said! I have refused to even associate or have a Facebook or other similar account. I refer to them as unsocial media. I'm new here, but, I hope this site can stay away from foul angry discourse.

 

You will find most of us at CM are respectful and polite to each other; so don't fear: we are already staying away from this. But of course we also have our share (albeit luckily limited) of less appropriate behavior..

There is absolutely nothing wrong with wanting to explore this lifestyle; or any lifestyle that you desire as a couple.
The behavior of some individuals should not be a reason to stop communicating openly about what you desire and what your favorite lifestyle is and how you want to fill that in. It is your free choice how 'open' you want to be in this.
I believe it is important that we continue this open communication and also believe that someone can have a different opinion, but that you never have to accept insults or disrespectful behavior of these that have a different opinion; like your open opinion should pay the same common respect (E.G. not offending others)
Being offended or offensive remains always a personal interpretation; but I'm sure that just some common sense will do the job. Don't you think so?

Dita-as far as most of us here are concerned, you are absolutely free to live whatever lifestyle you and your partner(s) decide on.
