I’m an engineer by trade, and split my time between the office and the field. Well, today I was on location, and my name happened to be randomly selected for a drug screening, hahaha. My wife (KH) found that hilarious when I told her. I was running through my head how I was going to explain myself if the female nurse that administered the test had to actually be present in the room when I filled the cup.
No way is anyone present in the room when I give a sample for drug screening! Male or Female! It's a thing called dignity and respect! I understand and support the idea of drug screening but it's bad enough handing someone a cup of my wee as it is! Maybe I'm old fashioned in that way!
As in you've randomly tested a range of drugs? "Ok, today I'll try this one. It looks like it might be cocaine."
Damn I'm surprised someone was actually in the room with you regardless of being behind you. I mean I get it, I've heard of all sorts of methods in regards to cheating a drug test and except the military I've never heard of anyone else being present in the bathroom.
My company also has random drug test. I have been selected a few times. Of course I had my device on. Where we are sent they do not go in the room, they just stand at the door. I have thought how things would go if they were in the room since the PA hasp does make some noise. lol
I don’t t know what country your from @NewlyLocked83 but in Canada it’s against your human rights for someone to be in the room when you give a urine sample. Especially someone of the opposite sex. Drug testing companies try to say that they have to be in the room with you but do some research on it you’ll most likely find that they don’t have that right. If your wearing a cage theirs also a good chance you would have to sit to pee so the nurse would see a lot more than she planned to.
Reminds me of my army days. ASAP (the program which oversees the UA) requires that the observer actually watches the urine leave the body into the cup. When we fell into a random formation and learned it was for a UA, I was shaking. Lol KH always thought it was funny whether I got selected or not.
I was going to ask you, @Joey love, if you needed a miracle. Actually if that song isn’t a love song to (a blues-rock cliche version of) a super dominant woman, I don’t know what is. Do you think Bobby is trying to tell us something?
Been taking ransoms for 28 years, not once was it something watched. About as intrusive it gets is that u empty your pockets, and they tape faucets and toilet handles. I did have a work related embarrassing physical though. I was way overdue my physical required for recertification, they made the appointment during work and took me there. I do not carry a spare key. I warned the doctor that I had some “jewelry down there” and yes it was a female. Only the second female doctor I’ve ever been to and it’s the time I’m wearing a cage. She reacted with a sense of humor and moved on to the turn and cough. That is always the end of the physical, so she said you can get dressed and see the receptionist on my way out.
My bro was there. I couldn’t make it. He needs a woman about Twice his age. Don’t think that will work out for Bobby anymore.
Depending on the circumstances they may require a "direct observation test." My ex-wife and I were under a court order to submit to a direct observation test during our divorce because she accused me of drug use. The US DOT actually lays out the procedures in a specific regulation when covered employees must have a direct observation test. (Usually in cases where a previous test was suspect.) https://www.law.cornell.edu/cfr/text/49/40.67
This just made me think of Frank's drug test in Shameless. Watch at your own risk if you don't know what's coming.
