    Hi Fellows.

Anybody constructing cages etc. using Fusion 360?

I struggle to create the cage portion...

all day every day. Well, maybe not, but I am in F360 for one project or another nearly daily...

    Hi Josie,
so do you have any tips how to design/create something like a p*-tube in F360?
I am used to construct technical stuff w. F360 but never got into the forms etc.
Any hint for good learning vids?
(already watched quite a few on youtube but still wondering how to create a good tube-design that also fits to specific measurements)
    Question:
would you be willing to share a F360-design-file so I could go through it and understand how you do it?

I don't have any F360 files I am willing to share - I've posted a number of STL files that can be printed to wear, but the base files stay with me.

Creating a tube? create an arc and try the pipe command. Want bars on the outside? project a sketch onto said tube, and use those lines to create pipes.

Most everything in my shop is just "pipes" in various lengths and shapes!

    Hi Josie,
    thanks for the hints.
Thing is, I'd like to construct a tube somewhat similar to the tubes of the HT2 or even an CB6k.
These are not just round but have a "body following form", right?
    That's where I'm struggling...

I don't know F360, but in another package I tried this. Add a toroid (doughnut) of suitable size, then cut most of it away leaving a 20 or 30 degree segment, then create an end cap.

You'll probably want to work in the sculpt or patch workspace to really get a good penis-head-like shape. I've had thoughts on how to accomplish in the model workspace (engineer head here rather than art head), and creating an oblong mushroom shape is a real challenge for me. I actually prefer the more open design, so it hasn't been something I've spent much time try to solve.

    Absolutely the same here.
I am quite good at constructing things in the model workspace but still fight with the sculpt/patch mode.
It is a bit tricky to construct things in a precise way there.
Also the thousands of dependencies sometimes drive me crazy.
My I should invest some time in learning to us openScad...

I remember doing this back in my university days as a "teapot" example. You create the outline as a basic line/sketch, then revolve the line to turn it into a 3d form.

    Here's a tutorial I found on YouTube:

The idea is the same for creating the end of the penis tube.

You can also create a circle and then extrude along a path to create the penis tube with a curve.

It's maybe helpful to think of it as always trying to break things down into their most basic shapes and then work out how to to model and join them up.
