My wife just had me seal myself into my device using polymorph plastic! I simply replaced my magic locker with a rod of squidgy plastic and let it set. (full account here)

Basically, it's a craft plastic that becomes like Plasticine at around 70 degrees centigrade, i.e. in a cup of scalding hot water, then sets very hard indeed.

It's perfect for open-ended chastity because it requires a fuss to get out of, but not actual power tools and a workshop. I'll need to soak in a hot bath for an hour, or if that doesn't work, carefully apply a hairdryer over a long period. That's not as dramatic has having to hack away with power tools, but it still requires a positive decision from my wife before it happens.

Another advantage is that it's plastic. That means that a non-metallic device becomes totally non-metallic, meaning fewer practical reasons where it might need to be removed.

I'm still processing the emotional and erotic side of this, but I thought you guys might be interested in the practicalities...

Yes, polymorph is brilliant stuff isn't it. The device I''m wearing now is my current device is sealed with polymorph, the main reason I'm using though is to stop the lock rattling and the cage moving relative to the base ring.

I had to laugh at myself though, the first time I did it, instead of using the polymorph as the locking mechanism, I used it to wrap the padlock, so preventing use of the key... it would have made it a lot less bulky if I had simply omitted the padlock!

    http://bondinchas.tumblr.com/post/164897885054/now-that-ive-spent-half-the-day-doing-this-id

I've just thought, it could also be used in bondage to replace padlocks, to seal knots in rope, or to seal belt buckles. A whole new off-topic avenue beckons!

I'm due to fly internationally for a short break in a couple of months time.
If she wants me in my old plastic cage (instead of my current stainless steel), then I'll probably use polymorph to seal it shut it so there'll be no metal at all in the device. We'll be returning in less than a week and go back to the steel device so cleaning won't be an issue.

I don't mind the rattle, especially since he's taken it to be a bonus instrument sometimes... :)

But has the other endeavor been successful? I've wanted to eliminate the play in the joint because he does get quite the twist. Can't seem to find a padlock shackle that's thick enough to stop the twist but thin enough to be practical.

When you use the soft plastic in place of a magic lock will you be able to get all of the plastic out once you release? I know you could submerge in really hot water but is it all going to melt and leave that confined space? Or is the device no longer able to be locked that way?

When it's cold, it's hard like nylon.
When it's warm, over 60C, it doesn't melt like ice, It goes soft like well chewed bubblegum, it holds together bu not quite as sticky.

So, if you stuff it into places like an integrated lock cavity, then you'll need to be able to either warm it enough to pull/pick it out, or you'll need to drill/cut it when it's cold.
The problem is, if you're not able to warm it without warming up yourself (you will cause pain and damage at 60C), then you're restricted to working on it with tools cold.
To warm it, then holding a metal container containing just off boiling water next to it will warm it without risk of skin damage, or using a hairdryer with a suitable shield for your flesh is another way.

Thinking about it, that's why the first time I did it I wrapped my padlock in it, just obstructing access to the padlock keyway rather then stuffing the padlock keyway, or stuffing the polymorph into the device itself, as there's then a degree of separation when using heat or tools to escape.

Putting the polymorph over the normal lock has some additional benefits:
    - for the chastised it prevents and/or deters cheating (the polymorph can be uniquely stamped or shaped to detect tampering)
    - for the keyholder it puts time and inconvenience in the way of snap decisions to unlock.

If you're not sure of doing it, then do a test run without having your junk locked in the device.
You'll soon get used to how pliable it is when soft.
It's quite cheap and reusable, so give it a go. :)

yea, I meant "pliable when warm"
but you only have 3.7 seconds to correct mistakes!

Ah, months ago I did a trial run with spare device. A hairdryer did the trick. So my backup plan is to pull out, deploy a damp cloth, and use the hairdryer.... carefully.

However, I have a feeling that a long soak in a hot but not dangerously hot bath might sufficiently warm the material through by transferring the energy. I suppose I'll find out in October.

I wear a Vice Mini. I saw a picture of a person that glued the parts together this eliminating the lock. Got me thinking about this. Who knows, maybe I’ll try it one of these days.

devices like the Vice Mini with a post are ideal for polymorph, you can make a nice smooth "rivet" over the end of the post. It definitely makes for a smaller and smoother bulge.

3.7 seconds! After being locked up for months on end I wouldn't last 2.7 seconds! :)

    There's a theory about that... Darwin's Theory!

I can understand making it difficult to deter a snap decision to unlock, but just how hard does it have to be? (I can also understand just how horny it must feel)

I had previously given a bit of thought about how to modify my new design to use a plastic locking pin that you can't take out once it goes in. You'd have to take a drill to the device to get out. If this type of chastity was of interest to enough people, I'd be happy to make it available, please let me know!

Turns out you are right. A hot bath does nothing to the plastic. I'm pretty sure I can get out using a hairdryer, or in extremis a soldering iron (!). However, the procedure is looking a bit more epic than I had first thought.
