As far I know the chance going to court is quite low if the pictures have not be used for profit which is not the case here....

I think its time to draw a line under the whole mascara snake issue.
I do hope we can all learn from it.

Reading your post joro just makes me angry. @Mistress Jules was attacked on a daily basis andyou done nothing. I seem to remember you called it a storm in a tea cup.
Well for Mistress Jules it was far more than that.

Everyone was running scared from snake and now they want to come forward.
If this thread was restricted to members who stood up to the bullying it would not have so many post.
When snake tried to get lucy thrown of CM no one tried to help.

Now I see all the posts thanking Lucy and thanks is indeed deserved.
Lucy stood by Mistress Jules and vise versa.
If had been left to anyone else they both more than likely would have gone from here.

So to all the ones who done nothing thanks a bunch.
To all the ones who helped snake in her 9 year bully campaigm I am sure karma will take care of you.
So snake has gone there is no more to be said.
If you said nothing for last 9 years it a bit late to speak up now.

 

@maid_carrie sorry I forgot to give you a mention. Anger getting the better of me. I know how much you went through and stood solid with @Mistress Jules and @L-u-c-y . You brought me and @Mistress Jules together and snake even tried to credit for that.

 

mascara snake certainly garnered a lot of attention which IMHO is the whole reason behind everything he did. Even negative attention of course being better than no attention at all.
But let's not belittle or diminish this. This person mounted a preconceived and carefully executed long-term plan to manipulate, trick and deceive people. He is deserving of every last ounce of your contempt and more besides.
This one's for you. I'm sure one of your sockpuppets will see it.

 

@lockit I certainly did not say nothing. I said a great deal backalong, going back years.Much of it was on the old Forbidden Passage now inaccessible, or to Jens privately. And I suffered much from Amanda too. I always felt I supported Jules and I thought she felt the same. The only exception was when she wanted her account deleted, because it would have deleted all her posts too and CM is a legacy site. Had I realised then it was possible for a member to be deleted and posts remain as Guest and number (as happened recently to someone) I'd have done even that.. But if you mean the very recent reports Amanda made in Dec they were on chat which I virtually never use so I agree I did not see the context nor who they were getting at and just assumed it was Amanda being a bit of a pain again and indeed probably a storm in a teacup so I didn't take it that seriously due to A's track record.. Also at that time I was suffering from the effects of being hospitalised as a result of a burglar, so if Jules felt I'd hurt her I deeply apologise. But she never said so to me at the time.

And I wasn't ever aware that Amanda had tried to get Lucy thrown out of CM: This is the first time I have heard that allegation. Nor do I think it possible to 'throw out' a Member like that. Happy to PM Lockit if you wish.

But some women can be gullible too! I know @HollyC , an extremely intelligent member thought quite highly of Mascara.

I am still shocked by it all. I don't quite know what to say. I was totally and utterly fooled. I have now had a chance to look at the links that Lucy has shown on here and I see pictures that jemima was sent when mascara snake (or whoever the hell he/she is ) was supposedly on holiday in Canada.
My emotions have gone from shock to disbelief to anger and all my judgement and instincts have been shown to be absolutely hopeless. Gobsmacked.

I badly need a holiday.

Tags like “verified female” or “verified male” might be good. I know Twitter had this problem and they had some verification tests to make sure a person who was a celebrity was the one and only.
I guess the google or tin eye search would be a good start.
There could be a series of tests that could be passed so someone could get a “verified” badge. There might be a way to have badges for certain titles like “keyholder” or “professional dom” “female led relationship” ect. Some of those badges could be done without verification. I am glad you weeded this one out. I had a few messages from Mascara snake but none offensive or weird. I wonder if there is another site on the internet all ready set up to verify an identity.

True. But sometimes this can be done innocently. I remember a case in point during my second term as Mod. A new F member had posted an otherwise perfectly ordinary pic as an avatar, not of herself but which she'd got off the net and in the public domain. All of a sudden another member (M) took exception to it but instead of reported made nasty comments whenever the new F member posted. It turned out that the pic he posted was of his gf/partner. This only came to light after a Mod investigated, when as Mod contacted the F member so promptly changed her avatar as she
'd posted in good faith anyway.

My issues with Mascara were not about pix at all. Nor anything to do with supposed pretended gender.

 

A problem with the sort of discussion here is that it is easy to think that our own experience is the same as that of everyone else and that we should therefore have the same reaction.

My interactions with Mascara^Snake were uniformly pleasant. Interesting discussions on a range of subjects with some subtle humour. A smart woman in my opinion. Her phrasing was so female. So as i say, just my experience.

As for gullibility. I realised early on that any pics were from a library as the digital date stamps were often years before. I did not realise they came from another owner.

So let's try and be civil to each other in our reactions to this.

 

Stuff like this is why I don't tend to be too active or post pictures of myself on places like here or FL. It's a shame really, but nothing out of the ordinary.

Also I didn't say that when ms was a mod I was for a while and I lost my mod status not for doing nothing wrong but for saying snake was trouble to Jen's.. he didn't listen and at the time dropped me and Mistress Jules.. and then I went away and just popped in on occasion. Life goes on!

Nice idea but I do not think it is practicable nor the way to go. CM has 30,000+ members. Where to start? And what to verify: name, location, pix, gender: would take an army of Mods even to administer it. And very many members indeed, whatever status, need confidentiality and/or a 'Sue de Nymme' for all sorts of reasons. I am one for a start. I think it would put off more members than is worth the hassle. How long would it take Mods to check out all the pix been uploaded over the years just for starters? And re gender some regard themselves as TG, to say nothing of couples etc. When I was a Mod I could see details of all new Members and apart from the spammers (really ads for health products or whatever and easily spotted - @maid_carrie was a past master at this) there was very little cause for concern or to warrant investigation.

 

Verification for all members (while perhaps desirable) is unrealistic and would turn some away. Self-regulation of what one chooses to believe and trust is probably the most practical solution.

I'm somewhat new to this site but I am surprised just how much stuff on here is so obviously fake. Most of it men telling fantasy tales of what they'd like to happen to them. But also some very obvious (and very prominent) fake female profiles.

I don't mind people having unfulfilled fantasies but I'd rather they put them in the fiction section as otherwise a casual read down the new threads because a real eye-rolling fest.
