    Hello,

Just wondering if anyone had every had any issues going into large venues whilst locked.
It dawned on me not long after I snapped the lock shut recently that I'll be locked when i go to see the Foo Fighters in the London stadium in a few weeks.
Preliminary research suggests they don't have metal detectors so I'm safe but I know for instance that the BST festival in Hyde Park do use airport style metal detectors. If I get an extension on my lockup I may be in trouble there .

Has anyone ever had any issue with this sort of thing?

I imagine that it is pretty similar to airports @mr_newbie and there are plenty threads on that - do a quick search.

I know someone going to see the Foo Fighters at that gig - I will tell them to keep an eye out for you ;)

I’ve been waved by a wand numerous times when entering concert venues while caged. Sometimes the wand picks something up in the crotchal area, sometimes it doesn’t. When it does they are more than happy to attribute it to a belt buckle or, if not wearing a belt, the metal button on my pants and/or my fly. If I were wearing khakis, I’m sure they would attribute it to my zipper. If I were wearing shorts with no fly, I have no doubt that they’d chalk it up to a miscalibrated wand and push me through anyway.

The point is that they’re engaged in security theatre, not security. Their job is to get people through the line as quickly as possible while still providing the illusion that they’re capable of finding weapons or whatever other contraband might be brought in.

Now this is only my experience going to shows in a relatively small town, but unless there is some reason for extra security with a given act, or a given venue, I think the same will generally apply all over.

And if the worst happens and they want to inspect more closely, the worst you’re likely to get is a quick pat down of your “body jewelry” with the back of someone’s hand. They don’t have the time or the facilities to do anything more.

As I am permanent, I have been to a lot of concerts, sporting events, airports, and even court in a device. As earlier mentioned, most often the detector does not go off at concerts, but when it does the alarm is contributed to the belt, and I am cleared. Airports; I go for the pat down which circumvents the scan and have never had an issue. The only time I have had a real problem was going to court for jury duty, where I was asked to show my device. As Mistress did not allow me to remove the device before going to court, I had no choice. When asked if I was for real by the bailiff, "Dead serious; it is body jewelry." was my reply. I was escorted to a private screening room and presented my device. After moving it around to show him multiple angles, stating it could not be removed without special tools. After a moment of silence, I was cleared. Later that day I was picked for a jury. I was forced to repeat this every day or if I left the building even though it was the same bailiff. By day three, it was a non-event. However, I did get looks from all the court staff, especially the women.

Bottomline. You should have no problems with the concert.

Sounds like you've been through quite a lot whilst locked.
Small venues wouldn't worry me at all but the two events I've got coming up are both big shows.
It's still early days on my chastity adventure so I've got a lot to learn. :)

Well, i have, correction, Mistress has season tickets to an NFL team, and most shows such as Metalica and other large names are the ones She has taken me to. Again, never had an issue. You will find out once you accept your situation as i have. No one really cares, its the world we live in, very tolerant.
I look at it this way, no one is taking you to chastity jail!!

Hahahaha, chastity Jail. :) Glad that's not a thing.
I guess my worry has been more on being denied entry or being exposed to my friends. They're both group outings for me... If it happens they'll learn something new about me anyway :p

Remember these guys at security checkpoints do not want to fool around with your crotch, they are there to move people and get paid very little. Also, there is some mental fun with it all, the what if game, and how do I deal with this if I have to explain or present, quite a rush actually. When I was dealing with the court, it was very public but was handled very discretely and privately. At the airport, I was traveling with workmates, both men, and women, where I was asked why no scan. My reply, I do not like putting my body in a microwave. Interestingly enough, a few of my workmates started to take my route.

I might have to put that microwave excuse in the bag. I'd be getting ahead of myself to worry about airport travel just yet. The next couple of weeks will determine if I'm even capable of being locked permanently. I haven't reached the whiny bitch phase yet so it's looking positive so far :p

I just went back to see how long you have be locked up. Mistress is taking me to the Foos as well.
Ah, your ticker says 6 days.

Your body will adjust overtime. If things get sore, a half day does wonders, but get back on the horse.

It should be a good show. I've seen them a few times over the years and they normally play as long as they can. You certainly get your money's worth out of them.

Well, I'm pleased to say I had no issues with last nights gig. I'm still concerned about an upcoming event which makes use of archway metal detectors though. They've ramped up security in some of the Park based concerts in London due to some of the terror attacks that happened last year.

People on forums are discussing differing experiences going in though.

Going to an NFL game last year, I was wanded going in and it went off in my crotch area because of my cage, which was ignored, but when it went off on my underwire bra, I practically had to get undressed in front of the whole crowd to get in!

I did Bristol in the park concert 3 weeks ago and didn't even give it a thought till we approached security and saw hand scanners. Passed through no problem. I think as someone said earlier security aren't exactly well paid and want to get people though.. I was more worried about gin and Bacardi in the 'water' bottles but thankfully my brother in law had done a better job than on Slumdog!

I'm not to worried about hand scanners. I'm sure I've set those off without trying before.
An event I'm going to in 2 weeks has archway metal detectors they make everyone go through. One forum from last year suggests they had everyone emptying their pockets and being passed through like an airport... Bit steep for a gig if you ask me.

I wear a mature metal cage 24/7 but I have worn a plastic CB6000s when I needed to go through metal detectors at concerts or sporting events
However my Wife is getting tired of being asked to unlock me for these events and has suggested that I will need to deal with it and wear the metal device in the future
I have been sunnoned for jury duty in the fall and I hope SHe will allow me to wear the CB device then because I am a lawyer and I fear I will be subject to heightened embarreassneng by court staff if I set off the metal detector

I have been thru metal detectors while locked, the first time I wore a knee brace with metal supports, when the metal detector went off they attributed it to the brace and pushed me through, but like others said they don't much care if it's set of by something in the crotch. No gun is that small

She told my son to keep moving past the security gate into the arena. That got him a bit away from us.

Then she calmly told the 2 guards that i was wearing body jewelry. They responded "fine" and let us through.

My son broght it up to us once since then and we basically told him "nevermind".

Our son did tell his older sister the story and she is puzzled too. They basically chalk it up to "crazy Dad" LOL
