Bladerunner is my favourite film of all time. I remember recording it on VHS as a late film on the BBC, I was like, how was this not in the cinema?? I saw 2043 in Prague of all places recently and I loved it. Of all the "back to 80s sci fi", I thought it had the most artistic integrity and somewhat matched the tone of the original but it couldn't beat the bleakness, the action sequences, (Deckard vs Pris!) or Roy Batty's speech in the rain, but it was a very good and genuine effort.

@Nicoftime, that sounds like a plot, I think you might have walked into the wrong cinema.

Also at the end it turns out that the Bruce Willis character was really Keyser Soze and he’s been a guy even though everyone thought he was a girl and he’s been dead the whole time.

    You’re welcome.

Anything involving prisons should be popular here, all safely locked away and no escape! With women prison officers! Now I'm getting carried away! :).

I saw Solo the other day.
I actually quite enjoyed it and thought the new guy played Han well.

Watched Super Troopers 2. They nailed it on the sequel. Just as good as the first one.

I had seen the last 30 minutes or so of "The Lion King" while I was in the kitchen cooking. It was a life changer really. A very wise baboon and what the kids would refer to as a "chill squad" consisting of a warthog and meerkat. Life is good.

oh yea and watching Kylo Ren go through bad guy puberty is not great movie material. We can reminisce about the good ole days when there were respectable scoundrels.

I saw Deadpool 2 yesterday and after a ropey first half hour I thought it was very funny. Breaking the fourth wall every five minutes and ripping the p*ss out of other superhero franchises doesn't get old. And as for the "baby legs"....haha. If you see it you'll get what I mean.

Solo was the last movie I saw. It wasn’t as good as Rogue One but still worth seeing.

    The Truman show is awesome!

I had a ton of Google credit when I bought my phone. Ended up spending it on things like Bill and Ted, the Truman show, school of rock, RoboCop and a few questionable action films from the 80's... I'm starting to wonder if the golden age of cinema has passed. It's quite rare to find an original film these days. Remakes and reboots galore..... I dread the day when my beloved back to the future gets the reboot treatment.

I think the studios would rather go with something they know will sell, even if they do a piss poor job than give an independent film a chance.
