I thought, as noted above, that monetary considerations were expressly forbidden on Chastity Mansion. This rule has been instrumental in keeping CM a NON PRO-DOMME friendship/couple oriented community providing resources for those interested in this lifestyle. In the thread "Please hold my key, I'll do..." established by @L-u-c-y, there was a reference made to findom. Now I totally agree with the comments, intent and spirit expressed in this thread, but I also saw posts therein by a few new members that apparently see the Mansion and many of it's members as "easy marks" for their financial scams! BEWARE, once this door gets unlocked it will be difficult to close. I just replied to comments made in that thread, but I feel so strongly about this issue that I decided to establish a new thread here to reaffirm this basic covenant upon which Chastity Mansion has been established. I would hate to see our site attacked by financial scammers, most of whom have little knowledge of the chastity or FLR lifestyles. Let these posers do there work on sites such as Collarspace...NOT HERE!
Since you're talking about me, I'll feel free to respond. Let's draw a difference between some different things: 1) Allowing findoms to advertise and comment here 2) Allowing professional dommes and professional keyholders to advertise and comment here 3) Allowing discussions and comments that refer to findom, professional domination, or paid keyholding in any context My understanding is that only #1 is prohibited. If #2 and #3 are also prohibited, I believe the moderators or the site owners need to make that clarification, as I have seen many threads that refer to people's past experiences with professionals or discussions around the different experiences one might have with a professional vs a friend/spouse/play partner. And further to my point, "Pro Domme" is a role that one can choose right in the Chastity Mansion profile setup. If pro-dommes are unwelcome as members and commenters, having that role sends a bit of the wrong message. I doubt that you have looked at any of my other 100+ comments besides the one that drew your ire. Have I made other references to professional services? Yes, because it's often germane to the conversations here. But on the whole, I believe I have demonstrated both interest and knowledge in the chastity, FLR, and D/s lifestyle and have never targeted anyone for any kind of financial scam. FULL DISCLOSURE: I am not a findom, and I have no interest in being one. I am not a professional domme, though I have nothing against them. I do not charge for keyholding, though I have accepted money from subs.
I think @Retiredinaz may be wary of an influx of scammers, a few of which have made their way to the site in previous years. As I mentioned in the thread referred to, this site has no problem with Professional Dommes being members of the site in a personal capacity. There is a problem however if a member actively messages other members to try and encourage them to pay for services. I would hope in that case there would be a report made to the site so that @L-u-c-y and myself may ensure the continued enjoyment of members by investigating. Discussions about professional services are perfectly acceptable as a point of discussion. Any further questions, please feel free to ask.
Rest assured there is no intention to let the site be overtaken by findoms It is a tricky matter though, we need more women here and most are only interested if they get some benefit out of keyholding. Previous mods and owners have banned anyone suspected of being a findom and have investigated their profiles on other sites, myself included. I thought that was a bit over the top and a witch hunt. My view is as long as long as no one mentions findom or keyholding for profit on THIS site (in public or private messages) they should be allowed to stay. However if someone joins the site and just sits in the chatroom all day waiting for customers it will be noticed. Some people have recently suggested that findom and keyholding for money should be allowed here, but I agree it would ruin the site, and the stance will not be changing
monetary considerations: said the man who is selling a device on the site. What makes CM a great site is the mix of members. couples, self lockers etc etc. I have seen a few scammers come and go over the last 8 years. When they try to scam members sending them to pay sites or asking for tributes. They never last long and the never will.
OUCH! The day that thread is eliminated I will sell any surplus chastity devices I own somewhere else. The device I just sold was one month old, cost me $575, and I sold it for less then half that amount. I wouldn't exactly call that financial gain @lockit A CM member got an excellent deal. You have some nerve comparing that situation to findom!
As a dynamic, I have no problem with financial domination and paid keyholding. As long as the 'contract' between Domme and sub is consensual. Blackmail is abhorrent and should not be confused with Findomme. This great site is a better place without those dynamics in play.
Stop being sarcastic. There is absolutely no comparison between someone who is selling a second-hand chastity device on this website, and findoms. The For Sale section of this website is wonderful. It's the url that my bookmark takes me to each time I come here.
Whats your problem? You have only 2 posts on this site and both having a pop at me. You came after me for a comment I made a week ago I did not come after you. Now you tell me I should be nice. What do you suggest Hug a hoodie?
your attacks on people get a tad boring. Why can't you be nice. Ideally, you could post something that isn't laced with sarcasm.
I think @ļockit is renowned for his cynical view on life but it would be appreciated if you both be nice - and if you can't, look at another thread instead
