    This cage was never used. We purchased a half dozen or so of these highly decent Chinese devices when experimenting with sizing and various design preferences. This and the other steel device I have for sale were never used, as I never ended up trying anything with an insert. This is quite a good cage. Once we found a decent Chinese cage that had the right measurements we never looked back. Custom "high end" (overpriced) steel devices are a complete waste if you can find something that fits well from China. The excessive weight of something like a JailBird alone makes it the wrong choice over something like this (as long as it fits you right), to say nothing of it being wildly overpriced for what it is.

    very interested, the measurements shown are perfect, but it doesn't show the base ring size

    I have a second cage that never got up for sale. Same basic design, a bit narrower in diameter no UI. If you sift through my (or maybe @Thatgirl s old posts, it’s the one we used to plasti-dip to help keep it up (low hanger) and prevent easy pullout.

    Both cages have the slightly irregular shaped “ergonomic” rings. Hard to be precise. But with calipers:

    Base ring sizes -

    Smaller cage, no insert (best non custom device I’ve owned): 42.5 side to side, and maybe an extra mm up and down. But fit is more snug due to shape. This is the one we used to plasti-dip if you sift through our old posts.

    Bigger cage (with insert): 38mm across by maybe 39mm up and down. Again tough with that shape.

    Does the smaller cage with the larger ring have the open slotted tip (like the other if the mount for the UI was taken off)?
