I think you are right with this line but you will not get much men to agree with you on this. I think that the women are more in control of the marriage. Yes, it's the " subtle execution" of showing commitment, submission, attitude, tone of voice, facial expression, etc... that I am most familiar with right now. Raising a teenager, the last of 4 kids, means washing the floors and toilets naked on my knees in a humbler is not really an option at this point.
