    I'm looking at locking my package in a iron maiden and using the mail service to keep it all locked up. If I post key on Saturday afternoon it won't arrive until Tuesday at the earliest? Any thoughts?

    This method is real old skool.

    Much beloved by the self bondage folks.
    They had several ways but much the favourite was post the keys but it did mean you had to be able to get to the letter box .
    Obviously the big fail was wives girl friend flatmates returning early or unexpectedly or of course the biggie your mum popping round .

    One decided to use registered delivery as they wanted to be sure to get the keys . However in his excitement decided to up his predicament as far as the bondage went so shut the padlocks hands behind his back and of course did not think about how he was going to open the door and sign for the packet.
    Had to wait till the night to get to his workshop at the bottom of the garden and took till dawn to saw through one bit to free himself.
    The other was ice locks and I saw something not very long ago that was a very sophisticated lock that you put the whole thing in the freezer and used pad locks to it .
    I guess if you put keys in a gallon jug deep frozen and then insulated it with an old duvet and stuff you could get 36 hours . Maybe not in the summer . !!

    I used to be a postman for Royal mail if you are going to send keys through the post make sure you put them between two pieces of thick cereal packet card as otherwise the envelope will tear going through the 1000 sets of rollers in the sorting machines. There are drop buckets under each machine which collects all the foreign objects that come from letters and it gets spent in the vending machines.

    If you mean the hotsteeltoys iron maiden, I don't think you want to be too far away from the key for long! I bought one to try and its an awesome device for play, but not for long term wear. Even the maker doesn't recommend 24/7 wear! Careful! ;-)
