I’ve been using Vaseline to keep lubricated under base ring to eliminate chaffing. No lube = sore! I used to use silicone lube as I wear a metal device, however I don’t think my skin was compatible. I have sensitive skin and I think the silicone lube actually irritated my ball sack slightly.

I’ve seen people often suggest coconut oil and wondered if there is much difference between that and Vaseline petroleum jelly. Are there and pro’s and cons against the two and what coconut oil do people buy?

    Thanks in advance :)

Coconut oil is good when she plays with her toy but vasaline lasts longer and is more suited to keeping me chaff free all day and night

I use organic coconut oil as it smells nice and washes off easily.

I thought veseline was just greasy and felt toxic.

Vaseline will eventually stain and ruin clothing and anything you sit on. Works well. But you’ll pay a price.

Food oil should not be used anywhere near body holes.

You can play with it, but needs to be washed off after. It can lead to bacterial infections, foul smells, and rot in general.

Baby oil gel has a nice consistency for lubricant down there, and just a dab will do.

I've been using this product for about 8 months. It's great! Have had no issues. I only apply it when I take a shower or bathe,. No need to reapply. Sometimes I shower 2-3x / day if I'm exercising or working outdoors and I still am using the original tube.

I agree Vaseline is to greasy and gets all over your clothes, I find a good moisturiser works best for me. I really believe it’s down to skin type as to what works best for each individual.

I’ve given cocoa butter lotion a go as some have suggested lotion/moisturiser instead of silicon lube or Vaseline.

I can’t believe the difference! No irritation whatsoever, it soothes and leaves my balls soft and supple. As someone who gets quite high and tight balls a lot of the time I have found the lotion helps them to stay relaxed and hang lower. Absolutely revolutionary, wish I’d tried it sooner. Not to mention they smell chocolatey!

Well, guess I’m the odd one. I use Vaseline and I no longer shave completely. It seems a bit of hair growth and the Vaseline works perfect for me. No more burning under the scrotum what so ever. Haven’t removed my devise in two days. To clean I have taken baths and make sure I get soapy water into my device. Blow dry after the bath. I tried a bunch of lubed but Vaseline just works the best for me.

I use just enough Aquaphor or Vaseline on the ring to rub on it but nothing that would ever stain clothes given how little I use. It seems to work well but I haven't tried much else.

Why not just wrap some moleskin around the base of the ring and not have to worry about using anything? You don't have to worry about staining anything, or reapplying anything, etc.

How often do you change the moleskin on the base ring and can it be kept on during a shower and after? Ideally looking to keep my cage on as much as possible

The version of this product that I use is Coconut. It contains Coconut Oil & Shea Butter. It's not too greasy like Vaseline and not too oily. It's a great in-between. And a little bit goes a long way.

I use Jergen's Ultra Healing lotion applied to the areas that the base ring contacts. I also apply it to my penis after showering as it makes it easier to slip my member into the cage. If I get some burning after a ew days, I apply some of the lotion to a Q-tip, insert it between the base ring and swab the areas of my penis and scrotum that the ring contacts.

Shea butter has been the best for me. Don’t get chaffing with it but I find if my balls get tight/try to retract in to me but stopped by the base ring the muscle under the scrotum feels tight against the ring. When normally relaxed the ring is comfortable and definitely the right fit for me. Going to try the moleskin and hopefully that will give some cushioning

I think Johnson's have stopped making baby oil gel - I've not been able to get it here for years.

I never considered Vaseline or petroleum jelly as an option.. too messy .
I have been using Johnson & Johnson's Baby Oil Gel for years. Much less messy than oil. I still have a bottle and a half. But what used to be shelves full of the stuff in different forms in Boots the Chemist . has gone to non-existant. Can't get the stuff in the UK without paying wild and ridiculous Ebay prices. Fortunately I don't use much or often.

A well known and respected lady on the fetish scene on her own site recommends Emu Oil. Which I will no doubt get around to trying.

There was and no doubt still is a cream that farmers used to use on cow udders if they became chapped at in winter, perhaps to as a preventative.. I'm sure that would be effective and necessarily reasonably waterproof for 24 hours. No idea what its called.

One issue I had with baby oil gel was that it would often leave a residue which would not wash off easily.

12 years locked up and the best you can use is Silicon lube. It is very slick and does no evaporate. Lasts all day and night. I use he expensive UberLube because a little goes a long way and it lasts long as well as super slick. In the end it ends up to be cheaper than the other silicone lubes I used to use and reapply several times a day plus felt tacky to the touch. Silicon lube is the best.
