Got a new cage for Christmas, it's a Metal -CB knock off of a bird cage I believe, it's actually really comfortable.
Maybe a touch too long for now but I will see about a slight modification once my welding has improved. 20221225_120342.jpg

Nice cage I had the black version but developed a tearoom to it due to my sensitive skin.

Does the strap bother you to wear on a daily?

No not really, the only thing is you have to undo it to go to the bathroom.
Other than that not at all.
Wear loose during the day, and since it tight at bed time.

You can shorten that type of cage a little without having to resort to welding...
Just put the cage on a hard surface and squash the rings closer together.
The stainless and weld material used in devices is relatively malleable, so with some gentle force it will bend. (don't hit it with a hammer, you'll scratch, crack or dent it!)

Awesome thanks but will that change the pitch of the cage looking down to a more foreword profile?

Not substantially but there's one way to find out for sure - Try it, and if you're not happy with the small amount that you can compress it that way then there's always 'Plan A' of shortening it by welding to fall back to.

I had a similar design cage but it had fewer rings in the tube, and they were quite widely spaced to start with so squashing really did shorten it quite substantially. My base ring sat a little more vertical, so the effect for me was that it protruded less too.

(I can see that the effect on yours might not be so great, but I think worth noting the method here for other's benefit).

I actually did compress it last night did a pretty good job, it does stand out just a little bit more than I like but it's not awful lol, thank you for the idea
