Do you use any type of candle when dropping hot wax onto body or is there a specific type of candle,

Yes the type of candles matter. Or if you're buying bulk wax the type matters.

Basically the hardness of the candle will determine the hotness. So the softer the wax the cooler it will burn. Likewise the harder it is the hotter it will usually burn.

If you do a search you'll also find there are some types of wax that burn much hotter and you shouldn't use.

A safe bet is the religious candles you can find in dollar stores here in the US. I don't know what the UK equilivant is. Hair care suppliers also sex wax that is usually safe to use.

Also the higher you drop the wax from the more time it has to cool. So if you want the "victim" to feel it more you bring it closer to the body. Or if you want it more sensual make it further from them.

FYI, wax play is one of my favorite things and one of the first things I learned from a couple that specialized in it.

Finally there is misinformation on the color of the wax. Generally this is BS. Color usually doesn't impact the hotness of wax.

My personal rule is if I can't easily get a finger nail to go into the wax I won't use it for wax play. I know this may be overly cautious but it's what I was taught and what I share with beginners and those new to wax play.

fantastic advice! And I agree, the big church style candles are the way to go, don’t use tea lights or the long thin table candles and these are very hot!

Thanks. I was very fortunate to have some great teachers and mentors who were well versed in wax play. I’ve also had the unsettling displeasure of seeing some so called experts that had no clue and were dangerous. So I’ve seen and experienced both the good and bad.

So I’ll just add that when playing with anything in this lifestyle folks should start slow and use extra caution. As they learn still be careful but also be wise about things. Listen to the gut and don’t do stupid things.

Wax play is lots of fun.

Oh we didn’t mention it but lots of baby oil helps make it come off easier, and disposable plastic drop cloths make cleaning up easier. I like the ones at Dollar Tree (here in the USA) as they’re the right size and price!

Buy dripping candles from kink specific retailers. There should be plenty around - my city of 2m population has 2.

my wife uses any we have in the house, they are usually in some sort of jar, different candles have different melting points so i never know what its going to be like till it hits me, she lets them burn for a couple of hours to maximise the amount of wax, then drips it on to my cock, she loves to peel it off when its hardened
