Plastic vs metal chastity cages which is best?

Plastic cages are known to break frequently, so I think the real choice is between resin cages and metal cages. The advantage of resin cages is that they usually come with 4 different ring sizes, so if you're just starting out, you can experiment to see which one works for you. However, resin cages don't usually let you clean yourself properly, so you need to remove them for cleaning. If you goal is to stay locked for long periods of time, then metal is the way to go. You typically only get one ring with metal cages, so you do need to know your size before you order.

 

yeah, is sucks if you have an in between size, that's where the experimentation comes into play. If you go too big, you might find that one of your balls will escape, that's what happened to me when I tried the 50mm ring, so I settled on the 45mm.

This cage comes with a 48mm ring.

 

This is the age old debate! And there is no right or wrong, having worn both metal and plastic devices, I can see the Pros and cons for both, but it’s truly down to personal choice.

 

I have resin and metal. I prefer the metal, wear it 24/7. Mine is a fairly open design, so cleaning with it on is fairly easy. I had several CB's, all broke. I have had 1 resin one break, but that was it. I prefer the look and feel of the metal cage

 

I have no experience with plastic or resin cages. My sub-hubby has been locked 24/7 in an open-wire metal mini-cage for almost 2 years now. I like this style since he can keep clean in it without the need of frequent unlocking.

BTW, hubby says that the tighter the base ring and the shorter his cage the more comfortable it is for long-term or permanent wear.

 

I think that gold cage is the best variant...

 

I have used plastic they get to smelly way to fast we prefer metal get it very open and secure easy to maintain that way does not need to come off

 

The new plastic CK Cherrykeeper cages can now be printed in a smooth sealed finish, which will make them easy to clean. I love the light weight of the CK's

 

Plastic cages do smell after time but then again all depends on how long your locked.

It’s really just a matter of pros/cons and preference. Below is my response on a previous metal vs plastic thread. I prefer plastic because of the weight. My cherry keeper is 16 grams and very open for cleaning while wearing. Is it a little harder to keep clean than stainless, sure. But I like the light weight. It’s a fraction the weight of metal. Metal is not necessary to meet my needs and goals. And most importantly, my KH likes the cherry keeper just fine and wants me to be happy in my cage since I’m in it all the time.
