    I’ve been playing with chastity on and off for a couple of years. I’m looking to try longer periods of lock up. How is it weight training while locked? I’m a bit worried about tugging on my balls or something.

    Only issue I ever had is with deadlifting. It might show a bit more if laying flat like bench press. Just wear supportive undies.

    Depends on your cage -

    The one in my avatar would tug on my balls when doing squats, probably because it was quite long and downwards pointing, so when my pants tightened at the bottom of the movement, it pulled even more.

    I also have a short cage, just 2 inches long and this is much easier for workouts, less pulling on my bits, but even so, I opt to remove the cage for weights. Having injurred my back a few times in the last few years, I don't need something else distracting me in any way performing lifts.

    I agree that it depends on the cage. I am a gym junkie (5 days a week) and in the full steel belts that was simply not possible. I've since switched for a ball trap device with a PA and it works a charm. The initial one I got was too big and caused problems, but the current one I have is smaller (not crazy small) and is perfectly fine.

    Gym rat for life! Shorter is better! A pad can smooth things out so it isn't obvious. An integrated lock is better as well because it doesnt make noise or stick out like a padlock design. I have had issues with a ball popping out on occasion, usally during cardio.

    Locker room has been my only problem. Changing in the individual shower stalls is awkward but works.

    I’ve been back at the gym recently. The bigger issue for me is wearing panties. So I try to wear ones that look gender neutral.

    As far as the cage. I agree. A good fitting one makes all the difference. In my case, my Jailbird has been adjusted where it’s comfortable and I really don’t have an issue for most exercises.

    Exactly. An explosive locked out deadlift bangs my balls hard. If anyone is looking at my crotch during bench, why looking there?

    We all know why!! Especially gray sweatpants season. I don’t cardio cause I don’t have to impress anyone, but it might be a bit of lube situation. Funny story…one time I was doing standing pronated curls with a fixed EZ-Curl bar, and banged my steel cage on accident. I heard it but I wonder if anyone else did. Hopefully masked by the screaming and weight slinging crossfitters. ( if you CrossFit, big love still, but why drop the weight from overhead? The eccentric part is important too!)

    To be fair, mine (holy trainer v2) works fine for me, don’t major issues, only exercise which can be a problem is Deadlifts, but if you don’t mind it catching ish then it’s fine.

    personally the way my cage is snug and cushty, it actually looks good especially in grey joggers.

    Cross fitters are a different breed, some of the mental stuff they do is absolutely shambolical and I love it lol (no I am not a CrossFit guy)

    I work out 4-5 days a week, not into power lifting or anything extreme, but haven’t found any issues wearing my cage. I got my MCN Adaptus last year and it’s been amazing.
    I could see deadlifts with straight bar possibly being an issue in any cage, but I use a hex bar at home for deadlifts, so not a problem at all.

    Everyday gym goer! It sucked when I didn’t have the proper size cage. Now that I have the proper size (as everyone knows) I had an AH HA moment and realized how much better it is. Tight underwear and some typical baggy “gym/basketball” shorts you’re golden! I do cardio and weights. No worries!

    Lifting is not an issue. Cardio is. Plastic cages are good for lifting because of the comfort and light weight offered, but bad for cardio, because the ring causes chafing when I sweat. I find metal devices to be better for cardio.

    When I do calisthenics skills like front lever or dragon flag, both cause me huge chafing issues, I'm afraid.

    I was a little worried about going to the gym in chastity, but it has worked out well. (TBH, at first I was a little anxious about even going out in public in chastity at all, but I've gotten over that too, lol!) I always wear a girdle when going to the gym, and that helps with the 'chastity cage bulge'. Wearing a girdle to work out has the added advantage of extra support, especially with Olympic power lifting. Like many other posters here, I do find dead-lifts to be the biggest issue since the bar smacks right into my cage at the top of the lift. No big deal in the end as I just got used to it.

    After the pandemic lock-downs were lifted for vaccinated folks, I was ready to give the locker rooms / jacuzzi / sauna a try. I'm careful to pick a locker in the corner, not change when there is any traffic in my area (then just use the private shower changing area), and not wear overly girly panties or girdle with lace or hot pink! I always wear panty liners, and that was the biggest issue as they're kinda conspicuous when taking my panties off. If there are many people in the locker room I'll just go into a stall to put my swimsuit on. I really appreciate being able to include gym workouts in my day-to-day chastity life.

    I wear my cage to the gym all the time. The only workouts I've ever had issues with were arm curls and deadlifts as they both tap the cage through my shorts/pants. Just have to be careful where the bar goes.

    Other than that I wear tight fitting underwear, usually either a thong or a jock. That helps prevent movement while working out.

    Never had any problems showering or using the sauna at the gym either while caged. I've just always walked to the shower wearing my underwear so my cage isn't exposed. I'm sure a keen eye would see it through the fabric, but that doesn't bother me.

    I work out or go jogging in a metal chastity cage too. Small one duh, somehow it motivates me and i plan to keep it on till i slim down.

    I'm glad the gym is not a problem for many here.
    In workout clothes I find concealing a full belt, while possible, is risky. Wearing spandex which is unlikely to move and expose the waistband and removing the Hannibal cage (which when running, etc can rub) helps. But if I go to the gym or am working out in public (aside from running near my home) I switch to a Holy-Trainer. If running with the Holy-Trainer spandex is a must to keep things from moving.

    However, there is an exception for if I'll be using locker rooms, in that case I can be unlocked. I understand most people are not looking and if they did see probably would not care. The concern is for those rare cases when a family is present. Chastity seems to still be considered something aligned with erotica rather than falling under clothing or body art - and I'm concerned how some parents would react if their child happened to look at the wrong time and be "exposed". I also don't want to be the reason a parent has to have an uncomfortable discussion with their child.

    I do hope for one day where it can be worn "openly" because chastity becomes viewed (to the general public) more on the level with piercings/jewelry or tattoos. But I think that is a long way off.

    I should add to OP's specific question. Weight training is generally not an issue with the full belt provided the Hannibal cage is removed. But the waistband can cause issues for some exercises. Which is another reason I usually swap to the H/T. I've never had issues with things popping out, but I had things fitting well (including going down a ring size for the H/T and a lot of bending of the full belt) before I ever attempted a workout in chastity.

    I agree, deadlifting and heavy shrugs are the only time the bar and the cage interact. I have a very small Mature Metal which works quite well.

    Never had any problems at the gym, but I don’t do a lot of weights, I’ve found it’s best to just forget about it being there and most people don’t have a clue about cages anyway!
