I spent several years experimenting with different chastity devices before I took the plunge and spent the extra money on a custom device. It's been a great investment having a device that is so comfortable and secure (especially as I wanted one I could use with my piercing), makes 24/7 so much more enjoyable. My reading from other threads is that after a while, when people (and hopefully their KHs) are fully into chastity, a lot switch to a custom device. I was curious is there was an overall average for this across members on Chastity Mansion.
It took me about a year and a half to grow tired of the I'll fitting off the shelf devices. I upgraded to a Jailbird and absolutely love it. It will be further customized with a PA pin and possibly for an apadravya.
Was looking to go with mature metal but as it turned out their minimum length was not short enough. She has decided the CK Micro is more appropriate for my tiny pinke and she totally satisfied with what the effect on eliminating my pee stream into a dribbling cascade. I shouldn't have a stream while sitting to pee.
I found myself modifying a lot of cheap cages and doing custom work that it just made sense for me to eventually go with a custom. What really was the turning point for my wife and I was when it became apparent that no ball trap cages where ever going be secure without a piercing. My wife didn’t want me to get the piercing but she wanted the security so we went the Behind Barz belt route and we both couldn’t be happier with the product. I didn’t think that wearing a full steel belt would even be something I could do but here I am and it’s relatively comfortable. In fact a lot more comfortable than many of the ball trap cages I tested out over the years.
It was my wife's decision. She wanted to be absolutely certain that there was no way I could escape it. That was over 3 yrs ago and I'm still trapped in it.
After a handful of cheap cages of varying types, we decided to order MCN Adaptus and it’s been great! Very comfortable and quiet with the security screw instead of the padlock, my Queen hasn’t pushed me beyond 18 days so far, but I’m confident I could stay in it for way longer if she chooses. With the Adaptus having a set length, it shipped quickly, and I knew from previous cages that the length would be perfect.
When eventually I found the ideal mix of base ring, spacer and cage length from experimenting with the CB6K.
I indicated after 5 years in the poll, but that was not after continuous use of other devices. I had not been locked for over 10 years when I was again locked, this time with a cheap metal cage instead of the polycarbonate CB-2000 &/or CB-3000. When told that this lockup would be indefinite, I upgraded to MCN's Contender after a few months. And that's been 16 months now.
I just had a _very_ custom evotion orion made. I actually got my PA yesterday so I won't be wearing any cage for a while. I have a few off the shelf cages that have been awesome but the orion fits like a dream. best advice is to REALLY get the measurements right or it becomes extra expensive and time consuming.
I never went custom, fortunately some of the knock-offs have fitted very well. The most comfortable on is in my avatar and cost $25.00 US dollars to purchase. Every so often we have to change out the lock, purposely damaged by the wife to prove a point, or just normal wear and tear. I will say this one is difficult for her to put on me and best left to me to do to minimize pinching skin.
I tried several cages at the start of out chastity path, and found the classic cb2000 to be a great fit for me, so that’s wavy we went with, after 18 years of use it started to break, and I needed a new cage I realised the cb2000 was long gone, I tried several other cages, cb6000, 6000s, the vice, and non were suitable. Then I saw the thread for the iron maiden, showed it to my madam, and she ordered me to order one ASAP. I was lucky that user castmenow had the time and was good enough to adjust his design to the measurements I wanted and sent it off to a 3D printer, and bam, it’s the best device I have ever worn.
Took about 8-9 months. Did like a week off and on in a CB6000, quickly went to a genuine HTv2. Tried a few random metal ones. After research (a lot of it here), decided to go custom and picked out an Evotion Wearables 8. Bought an Orion literally the day they came out!
I tried some cheap imports to figure out sizing, then ordered a Male Chastity Now Contender. Been in it for four years without a problem.
We tried several cheaper CBs to experiment with sizes and styles. After some few months we ordered the cage and never had any regrets
2014 with MaleChastityNow I had been aware of chastity and dabbling since before 2000. The CB-2000, CB-6000 series, the Holy Trainer and many others weren’t long term solutions for me. I could wear my Contenfer 24/7. I could sleep in it. I could stay clean. And I got pierced in 2014 and was “stunned” by the impact of pull out security on both my demeanor and attitude, and my wife’s. She saw it as “real”. 2017 MCN changed their design for the PA security and it made it possible for my wife to install it with zero help from me. Now I’m in a GlansArmor2 all the time now. No excuses. No control. No key. I had dreamed of a Steelheart like Thumper had or a Lori tube when I got pierced and asked for it to be placed so I could stretch to jumbo gauges. I have those cages. But I found I liked MCN’s open and lighter design. My wife really does call my custom steel piercing secured chastity “real”. She says “there’s no backing out of this. No escape. I have my hook in you. I’m not letting go. You have me your key. I’m not giving it back.” Before it was just a game to her. And I guess it might have been a game to me. “this is my life now” and so it’s good the cage is so comfortable.
When I started back in the stone ages, the choices were the CB2000 and custom full belts. No other choices. When Mature Metal started their business, I saved up and got a Jailbird. I’ve worn it on and off since. And as I’ve worn it longer and longer they’ve been great about adjusting it as needed. I’d highly suggest once someone gets past play or at least to the point of being more serious they consider options like Mature Metal. They’re not as expensive as many other custom options but aren’t as cheap as the CB stuff and much more than the Chinese crap.
We "played" around with the plastic CB device for about a year. Once we decided this was a lifestyle we really wanted to get into, we went with a custom Mature Metal cage. Best. Decision. Ever.
