Internal lock concerns

    As above, we just got a device with an internal lock, hoping for less sound, whilenin public. Our concern is with the lock as it's not a simple twist of the key to unlock. It's kind of fidgety and don't think it would be useable in an emergency, and/or may permalock or key snap.

    The device is Master series Rikers 24/7. We have not worn this yet and are back in the CB 6000 after viewing the lock. Any advice on lock maintenance or prep for this device? Or do we just stay away and find another device with an external lock?

    I have a cage, my avatar, with the internal lock. The only problem I ever had was sand from the beach and when my wife poured Lo title into the barrel. The locators required drilling out the barrel, a story for another day.

    As longs as you keep it clean, use a little lock oil, everything will be okay. Lots of people use these locks, they will tell you the same or provide their care tips.

    Thank you. Tried deciphering "Lo title" and cant find anything. Is it a product? or a typo?

    She is concerned as well and are thinking this may be a final day punishment, due to weight and coverage. Looking at buying a metalworx, Similar to yours but with the external lock. Perhaps, baby steps are in order for this .

    I think you probably overthink the issue a little.
    The lock will also wear a little on the cage when taking it on and of making it a bitt smoother over time to unlock.

    I agree, your over thinking it, I’ve been using a device with an internal lock for almost 12 months now and have had no issues with it.
