Hi, I am 54 and would like to be curcumsised, I am guessing the only way to get this done is privately. If that is the case, do they ask why? Obviously i can't say because it will be better for chastity and then i can get a PA, etc. Not cheap either, maybe abroad somewhere? Thoughts welcome and appreciated.
If you do it privately they won't ask questions. If you do it through the NHS there should be a reason. I was circumcised in my twenties because my foreskin was too tight. Difficult to argue you've only just discovered that in your fifties but it's not impossible. Good luck
There are several clinics in the UK where you can be circumcised. In my experience no questions are asked. They have many clients who have the op for cosmetic reasons. You can specify the type of circ you want. Low and Tight or High and Tight, etc. And no you wont get it done on the NHS unless there is a medical necessity. You can have the op in the UK tomorrow or almost! Whereas you are unlikely to be allowed to go abroad from UK re Covid any time soon. Google Circumcision and you will get the list of clinics offering the op. Go for it, you wont regret it.
I live in the US and had mine done when I was a day old. I don’t remember a thing but my father told me I had a set of lungs on me and while he wasn’t in the room he could tell I was not pleased.
In the UK there's no questions asked. Costs around £500-700, same day consultation and surgery. You can specify the style you want - I would recommend low and tight for aesthetics.
you won’t get same day surgery at the moment, as you have to isolate for between 3 to 10 days before a covid test.
True, but it helps with hygiene. If you have an "open design" metal cage and no foreskin to clean underneath, you could be able to wear the cage long term without the need to take it off for cleaning. This is not true (unless you mean travelling to the UK from abroad). I actually had a revision surgery recently to tighten things a bit and improve the aesthetics, and it was all done in one sitting. Say hello, discuss what you want (briefly mentioned to the doctor on the phone before), doctor says ok, transfer money, get local anaesthesia, get it done. The whole process took 2 hours and I was going home again. At least this is the process with the specialized circumcision clinics, e.g. Dr Rauf (Leicester), Dr Khan (London & Luton), Dr Amin (London), Dr Howlader (London), ...
Sonhee is on the money, with regard to not having a foreskin. Appreciate i can get a PA, but life would be a lot simpler without a foreskin. Have enjoyed it for years, but its time to go! ha ha.
Low/high: Low is when the cut is made just below the glans, which gives you a natural look, ideally as if you were born without foreskin. High is when the cut is made in the middle of the shaft which gives you a visible two-tone look as you will have the pink inner foreskin below the glans, then the visible scar, then the remaining shaft skin in your normal skin tone. I think in Europe low is more common, in the US high is more common. High is potentially more sensitive as the inner foreskin is kept (although I don't agree with this personally, hence I had the revision to low), low looks better as you don't have the visible scar (hidden under glans rim) and two-tone skin. As mentioned, I prefer low, and had a revision from medium high to very low. But this is something you have to decide for yourself. Tight/loose: tight means when erect there is no skin that can be moved (although you may have slack when flaccid), loose means there's excess skin that can be moved and pulled over the glans or at least part of it, so for example with a loose circumcision you can masturbate using the leftover "foreskin", while with a tight circumcision you directly need to stimulate the glans. In my opinion, if you're going for a circumcision for non-medical reasons then loose is pointless. Objectively, tight also has better hygiene as the glans would always be exposed (loose may cover part of the glans when flaccid).
