Chastity through TSA and airport security?

Discussion in 'Chastity in vanilla life' started by Ffcman, Feb 19, 2021.

?

Should I wear my cage through airport security or take it off?

  1. Wear it!

  2. Take it off and pack in luggage.

Currently locked in Mistress Lori #5
It is very small, comfortable, and complete concealable in all aspects of my life.

My problem is that I need to fly in a week or two. Should I ask my Mistress to remove it and pack in carry on, or just chance it and wear through TSA security.

I really don’t care if they pull me aside and question me.

    Just wanted your thoughts.

Something for you to decide. Several ways to look at. Firstly you aren't breaking the law and you are a consenting adult. In this case should you "get caught" you can tell them either that you are wearing a chastity device or body jewelry. This may be ok or you may be taken for a search. This is where it gets a bit tricky. Should we risk involving unsuspecting people in our "game" in such a manner? Is it fair? If we don't mind, then will we mind if they react with a "what a weirdo" look. Personally I prefer to not involve innocent parties who are only doing their jobs. Just my thoughts and not a judgement at all. :)

If you were going to see a doctor, or getting a massage, or getting waxed, or something of that nature, where you have paid someone to "pay attention to that part of you", then I might agree that we have no business exposing that person to our fetish.

    ...but,

    1) the TSA has gone out of there way to say that chastity devices are ok
    2) you have stated that you don't care if you are pulled aside and questioned about it
    3) they chose (from a position of power) to search you ...and be invasive enough about it to see your cage

...so, if you have nothing else to hide,
...and if you are so inclined,
    ...then let them see it.

I have worn my mature metal queens keep several times through checkpoints, metal detector and back scatter, and never been questioned. But I also heard there is a TSA form you can present before going through to let them know you are wearing a chastity device.

Been thru several times. Never an issue with my Lori much larger than yours. If you don’t care than what’s the problem. They scan your entire body, they signed up for that, that’s not exposing anyone that is innocent in my mind.

Been a while since we got to fly anywhere but when we do my wife removes my Jail Bird and has me put it in my carry on. We/I have had some funny looks as it passes through the ex-ray. Nothing other than that.

2/3rds of the time I'm cage free going through TSA. Once I have cleared security I'm required get my cage out of my carry on and to go into the rest room and put it back on. No big deal. The other 1/3rd time my wife has me wear our travel belt. It's our back up belt in case the JB needs to be sent back to mature Metal. It's a CB6000s. She uses a plastic security tag so I'm metal free.

Traveling is tough enough without that to worry about.

Once at the SC airport, I was flagged by security for something. I was cage free at that time no biggie. The guy said to raise my arms up and he in one quick motion rolled the waistband of my shorts down to look for metal. I was stunned as I was wearing red lace panties with the cute bow on the front. There was no way he did not see them. I was shocked. My wife was laughing her butt off watching that happen. All he said was to have a nice day and moved on...LOL

I pass through security a couple hundred times a year at airports, and more at other locations. Personally, I would not wear a cage, especially a metallic one, through a security screening checkpoint. I have a cage in my bag presently, and it's been tossed and examined. The added time and hassle at a screening checkpoint, as well as the distraction and delay aren't something I want to be responsible for.

There's a time and a place for everything. Causing a distraction at a security screening checkpoint isn't the place or the time.

I would wear it. For a back scatter machine I asked to “opt out” and get a pat down many many times. I had no problem at all. I would give myself an extra 10-15 minutes to cover the time to wait for someone to be available for the pt down but that was overkill.

Everyone is professional and I’ve never been questioned or given a private screening in chastity*

Once I got to use the Metal Detector again, I was pleased to find my light 316L stainless Malechastitynow GlansArmor2 is not ferrous enough to get picked up by the magnetometer.

Whereas I do know my brass belt buckle and steel watch will trip it, because I’m forgetful.

*I did once get pulled back for a private screening wearing titanium PA ring in 2014. I was healing and not wearing chastity yet. I was not exposed. It was professional but did take time.

Give yourself extra time in case, but wear the cage. Don’t fear security. I had a bit of pride that carried me. I do think asking to opt out of the back scatter machine is a good option.

bunch of years ago I learned keys or even a coin in my pants pocket or my metal belt buckle would set the airport scanner off then I learned to just put my keys and change in my hand and cover the belt bucket with the same hand holding it all and go right through

When you're required to remove belts and buckles watches and shoes, holding change in your hand won't help. When required to hold your hands over your head, palms open, you're not going to be hiding anything.

With backscatter and millimeter microwave scanners, whatever you have will be detected, regardless of whether it's metallic or ferrous.

Why do we try to discount the advice of people with real experiences traveling in devices with this “ opinion” of what might happen. I have traveled many times wearing my Lori cage and never had an issue. Each time I was scanned with the back scatter machine. It is more lenient in the crotch area. Anything else in your pocket or extra bulk on your legs will b flagged.

I don't know that I discount it, so much as I do it for a living. For nearly four decades.

But go ahead and discount my comments. No skin off my nose.

I think that nuts69’s “discount” comment was probably directed to post #14 by wastlander’s “doubting” above, not to you.

    anwyay,,,
It is a personal decision on whether to opt out of the backscatter machine and get a pat down, or pay for the fast metal detector lane. Independent of chastity.

It’s also just part of the process. There’s no harm or foul. The security employees are doing their job. You are living your life.

For reasons separate from chastity we would opt out. Don’t be an ass about it. Be respectful. Give yourself time for them to assign you someone for the pat down.

I don’t go through security 100 times a year, myself. So those extra 5 minutes don’t add up to much for me.

Separate from personal decisions and opinions,

I tested my Malechastitynow cages to be non-ferrous up to 1.35 Tesla. It’s 100% 316L stainless and low mass compared to other steel cages. My belt buckle and watch would set off the metal detector (I know because I’m silly headed and forgot) but my shaft only GlansArmor did not.

@Ffcman do you know how much your Lori cage weighs?

I tested my cage as non magnetic with a 1.35 Tesla magnet I bought. Only the screw slightly attracted the stainless steel screw (heat generated from thread cutting or head forming probably caused the stainless to become slightly magnetic)

A 13500 Gauss magnet is crazy strong.

I think this security posture makes perfect sense.

An otherwise able bodied person with a leg wrap or compression sleeve could be concealing a weapon.

A guy with his penis locked in chastity is not concealing anything threatening the safety of others.

Right. Who would possibly hide contraband or explosives in a sensitive area, and disguise it as something else? Certainly not Umar Farouk AbdulMatullab (the underwear bomber).

How does a security specialist know what's concealed, or what's concealed in addition to anything else?

You're making the assumption that because you're not carrying something, no one else should suspect you are. More importantly, the assumption that because someone either doesn't appear to be carrying something, or tries to distract using a belt buckle, cock cage, or other device, they're not carrying. That's a dangerous assumption.

Whether something is ferrous or not has little to do with whether it will alert, in a detector. With full body scans becoming the norm in many places around the world, scans using RF, millimeter, and microwave systems are combined with other detecting technologies in the same unit that check for shape and density, as well as the presence of certain other threats. Additionally, x-ray and other technologies is used to examine shoes, belts carry-on items, etc

The threat element is real. Anything that is unusual may be an attempt to bring a weapon or contraband through security. Anything that is unusual may be an attempt to distract to allow carriage of a weapon or threat through security.

Why choose to add that distraction?

In most cases, what you're wearing will be seen, in some detail (under your clothes, plastic and non-ferrous, etc). Additional questions, pat-down, or other ancillary technique may be used to confirm what's seen. Your reaction, demeanor, involuntary responses, etc, are also considered.

    I don’t understand your points.

I’m not going through a backscatter device.
I got pat downs. I’ve been polite and professional and courteous, and have received this behavior and attitude in kind.

I’ve gone and gotten the background check so I can go through metal detectors instead. I have worn my non ferrous cage through the magnetometers. No issue. I keep my shoes on too (though my belt tipped off the machine.
Many times now. Many airports and other situations.

No one is trying to deceive anyone here.
I made no assumption. I assume I will be screened appropriately. I’m not

I feel you are reacting emotionally to my choice, which is different than your choice, and not reading what I wrote. I’m not going through the back scatter imaging device. I know this, yet you repeat obvious facts.

I opt for a pat down. It’s my right. It’s my choice. I do not consider this a “distraction”. It’s part of the process and their job. I’ve never had any issues when I asked for a pat down.

Ha. I’m repeating myself within one message now. I’ll stop.

Do you really feel that opting for pat downs to avoid being imaged by back scatter devices is “disruptive”?

    (independent of chastity)

Do you feel that someone who decides that wearing chastity is part of who they are is somehow dismissing or disrespecting the security staff?

I acknowledged your situation and understood your decision. But you were making repeated arguments that weren’t relevant, in very long paragraphs. Somehow this conversation triggered a long lecture.

So I figure there’s some emotion and judgement behind what you wrote. Otherwise you wouldn’t have spent the time to explain. But I’m not sure you’re reading or listening.

Once I figured out my Malechastitynow stainless steel cage wasn’t magnetic I stopped worrying. I have breezed through metal detectors for years. Also, I paid for that security lane. It’s awfully convenient.

I opted for pat downs well before I was caged. That’s my right. It’s beyond chastity. It’s my decision.

You don’t need to expose your chastity. I’m not playing games with staff. There’s nothing inherently wrong with wearing chastity through airport security.

The original poster discovered that he didn’t need to remove his cage, having worn it for months and months. He was happy about it.

No problems. No delay. No dirty looks.
I’ve had the same experience. I’m happy for him.

    These facts are valid.

You say “the threat is real” as if someone said otherwise.

Neither Mrs Edge nor I want the kind of attention that a scan or a patdown might bring. Before we head to the airport, she unlocks my metal cage, I wash it and put it in a drawer. When we get to our destination, my old CB3000 is packed in the luggage.

Why the CB3000? Because over the years I've had small items disappear during screenings, and I don't want to chance that my A272 gets removed for any reason. Even though the A272 is an inexpensive device, I don't want the aggravation of needing to replace it.

Also, and I've mentioned this before, a chastity device is a sex toy. A grown adult should be able to remove it for a day of traveling, and be trusted not to have a wank in the airport loo.
